Just noticed that Squadra Tuning in The Netherlands can now access race mode on non-QV cars, see
Squadra race mode

This topic is getting confusing, I understand. Lots of different plots. Lol

I currently do not have race mode. I have successfully changed the PROXI config though, but I do not yet have a way to trigger the race mode using the selector. I will modify my DNA (non - qv) selector once Dorifto figures it out. More than likely it is only necessary to add a microswitch and resistor to the existing DNA selector in the 2.0t.

Others have purchased the QV RDNA selector.

for those who want to know the partnumber of the DNA-Race Knob: 156 129 321
This knob is compatible with all giulias until the MY19 for europe with euro6d temp norm.
As in my former post, i drive a Giulia Veloce Q4 MY18 build in March 2018.
I changed the knob and byte 88. everything works fine.
I updated all ECU´s to the latest version at the alfa dealer bevor.

Hardware:
Dell XPS 15
MES 4.4 Registered
OBD Direct Interface ELM 1.4
Adapters grey and blue.

It doesn´t matter if it is a Q4 a Q2 or a normal RWD...

Attached you will find my STOCK PROXY:

So on the 2.0 Q4 in Race mode it deactivates the ESC correct? Is there any other affects such as active torque vectoring and turbochargers? Can someone explain or confirm from experience what are all the benefits for mod to Race Mode on Q4, thank you.

#237 ·
So is the only benefit on a 2.0 Q4 doing this race mode mod is deactivating the ESC correct? No other benefits? Has there been any negative effects after the mod? Just trying to understand what the pro & cons are to doing this mod.

Already been discussed what does race mode change.
"
If its anything like QV race mode:
Less assisting electric steering wheel
Faster shifts
Power shifting in manual mode
Snappier brakes
More sensitive gas pedal
Stiffier adaptive suspension
Electronic stability control disable
More overboost
Less torque limitation"

Got a call from the shop, without knowing which resistor is missing, and having diagrams its just too much of the guessing game, and eventually will get more expensive than just buying dna-r switch. So im giving up on the idea of modyfing one, and going with just getting a dna-r switch, and swapping tops so it looks original

I'm on my phone and can't easily relay the info, but someone on page 6 gave this info...

Between pin 5 and 6

A- 1,32 kohm
N- 523 ohm
D- 236 ohm
R- 90,8 ohm

Well, i still have to figure out where to place the button so its accesable and not in the view. But basically since we knew the resistance needed to engage race mode, i just made a switch with the required resistance and added it to the pins 5-6

#456 ·
How are the pins numbered? I’d like to attach 90 ohms of resistance between 5 and 6 to test (after MES proxi change).

Yes changed those 3 bytes,

Anyway shift points dont work even with p2 rev limiter

#273 ·
Yes yes you have it on the dash, but that has been possible/known for about a year. But apparently without the byte corrections that make it actually do something.
We need "functioning" vids with enthusiastic "it really works" reports!

Everything is baked allright, its funny that you still think i dont have a race mode. Ill make a vid tomorrow on my way to wotk

That's not what I said. I have no doubt that you and others have it working. But I think we are all waiting to see some good action...and race mode does not create hyper-sensitive brakes. On the QV they are less sensitive. What are your observations on throttle response? If you hold steady (cruising or slight acceleration) throttle, and cycle between race and dynamic mode, what behavior do you observe?

#281 ·
Ill try to make more extensive video tomorrow, and ill give you more info, im still intrested if the p2 tune works in race mode, i mean car feel really allive from stand still, pushing over 0.7g on acceleration

IIRC bone stock RWD 2.0 were hitting 0.8G peak in the 0-60 thread and @chaadster's piggy backed Q4 was something like 1.2G peak. If the P2 tune isn't working in race mode, I think you'd know it. In fact, I doubt there's a built-in ECU map at all for race mode on a 2.0, but the EC guys would know best.

Well one thing mine isnt lsd optioned, another thing i didnt do lauch pull, ill try tomorrow
