not my dd sierra 1500 pick up for everyday. its my toy for the weekends.
I don't know how you can use a pickup as a daily driver. I took my '15 Sierra 1500 to the grocery store this afternoon and soon regretted it (I was just being lazy, as it was parked in the closer of my two driveways and the weather today was rainy and I just wanted to get in something quickly and get my running around done). It serves its purpose for trips that are require its abilities as a truck, but any other time, well lets just say I'm not a pickup truck guy and I grab other keys. Although, I will admit it is far more enjoyable than the pickup truck that preceded it.

My DD for about a 70 mile round trip every day. Gotta have some fun getting to and from work. Lol
Why not make it 100 miles by taking the long way home and having even more fun? :grin2:

Our truck is a powerstroke f350. Although it's primarily used for towing our camper, I really enjoy driving it. 800lb-ft of torque is just silly fun.

The QV is my daily driver for one year exactly. I've already made more than 25'000 Km (15'500 miles) without any problems.

I begin my second winter with a set of Continental Winter Contact TS830P (front : 245/35/19, rear : 265/35/19).
It's really fun on snow, but a little bit tricky when you have to restart on a hill climb.

Every day I drive my QV put me a big smile on my face ! :D

It is a daily driver for me. Just installed a winter set, will see how it performs through the winter.
How snowy is it where you live?

What kind of gas mileage are you guys getting on your QV's?

I've gone through 3 tanks so far. No stop and go traffic, my commute is mostly cruising between 45-60 mph with some stoplights. No freeway. I fill up at the same Shell station, same pump, and reset my trip counter immediately.

First tank - I just got the car, so a LOT of very spirited driving. A lot of race mode, paddle shifting, high RPMs. Gotta break in that engine. My dad was also in town and we were pushing it hard. 16.0mpg.

Second tank - I was still pushing it pretty hard, but not nearly as much. A couple of rainy days. A lot of 3/4-full throttle when it was dry though. 18.5mpg.

Third tank - the roads were damp/wet quite a bit. More civilized driving in N mode, but still punching it here and there. 20.7mpg

I want to run my next tank like a grandma in A mode, just to see what it could do. But... I don't think I can bring myself to contain her like that :grin2:

For a "Concourse Guy" the Ceramic Brakes will eliminate the dust problem ....and look sinister as well....I'm using my Quad as my daily....it's a pretty short commute but for some reason I keep putting miles on this car.....Because it was going to be my daily (and I'm in Long Island, winters can get tough), I swapped out the Pirelli Corsas for Michelin Super Sport Pilots (All Seasons) ...mostly due to the broader temperature range of the Michelins.....The Corsas have UNBELIEVABLE GRIP !!! but I don't think they could manage the extreme cold well.....So my recommendation would be a good All Season or dedicated Snows....
Doc,
You should just sell the Corsas. Still worth a pretty penny based on your lower than average miles on them.

Driving it in A is like driving a Toyota Corolla. Most of the time I'm in "D" and occasionally "N". I've tried the A thing and probably won't be doing that again ......
I reserve A for long highway trips. Averaged 30MPG in my Quad for a 350 mile roundtrip down to Cape Cod and home.

Sold a while ago

I've already made the swap...sold them (almost gifted) to EricVon on this Forum....Sold them with about 2500 miles on them ....have about the same on my Michelins....love them...and the Corsas will get proper usage with Eric.....D
