The car has gotten a lot less attention than I expected. It’s just a sedan? For my reserved personality type it’s a good thing. I can’t ever call it a sleeper with the styling and dinner-plate brakes, so it may indeed be a case of “I don’t know what that even is”.

I used to get a lot more attention when I first got my qv in 2018. Haven't gotten anything in years. Last time was at an auto x event in 22 when someone asked me about reliability lol

I think color matters somewhat. Not a color I don’t like but I’m 4 years into my 2021 QV in Ocra and while it used to be daily pictures and looks and full on stops in traffic (I am crappin’ you negative-hilarious story) to gawk at her, it has calmed down a little. But just yesterday, 3 separate people rolling down the window to tell me how pretty she is. But one lady in a merc a year ago, while I was in a turn lane, stopped for full 5 seconds and slowly crept by, mouth wide open, with a line of cars honking at her in the one open lane e to my right. Also, in my rearview mirror, I have caught 4 people grabbing the camera, and clearly taking a photo. I completely agree with them. I still take a pic in the parking garage at work now and then.

Same story when I bought mine. Although I bought my Vesuvio Gray '18 in 2022. It seemed like I received a bunch of compliments from strangers within the first few months of ownership then nothing after that.

I almost think of it like a trial subscription when buying a new car and the random compliments just come to an end when the "trial" expires lol.
