Hi, new user so please be gentle !!
I have a 2018 280bhp Giulia Veloce, i love it. Its my third Alpha over the years (Gt and Brera) Yes it has some Alpha oddities but it adds to the charm. When all other car manufactures are filling the cabins with Tech, full on LCD screens with no dials and lacking in character im glad Alpha (At the moment) still feels like a car when i get in. Theres something that can only be described as a "car like feel" when i get behind the wheel so i hope that continues with future models. But my two biggest gripes are MPG and Android Auto not utilising the full screen.
First off, MPG, i do 30 miles one way on a motorway to work, steady driving, no thrashing and still only sits at an average of 34.6, far away from the reported 41 !!
My second and biggest gripe is why cant the full screen be used, my wife gets in, hooks up her I-Phone and there you go, full screen !!!
Ive read all the threads regarding developer options, setting screen resolution, tried them all but it still sits there, staring at me the big "A"
Please forgive me if im not up to speed on any new threads as only just joined but has anybody got any further with the issue ? Thanks

41MPG? no way. Best I get is 28-32. Maybe you're thinking of the diesel.

Alfa developed their software to support the capabilities of Apple Car Play and Android Auto. At that time, AA did not do widescreen, but Apple did. Alfa would need to update the software to tell AA/ACP that it can do widescreen, and to be honest I doubt it will ever happen.

The 2.0T gas engine takes a while to warm up and during that time it consumes a large amount of fuel. Thus, do not expect high MPG on short drives. That said, my NAFTA spec Q4 will get about 28 USA MPG (34 imperial MPG) on a 16 mile each way mostly 55-MPH speed limit highway commute with a 2000' elevation change between the ends and a cold start at each end. The fuel economy of my car drops off significantly when the speed rises above 60MPH. At a constant 60MPH on a flat road over long distances I get about 35MPG (42 imperial MPG). At a constant 70MPH under similar conditions I get about 30-31MPG. Other folks claim to get much better numbers.
