My car stalled twice after start up today. Warning light came on and said something to the effect of START\ STOP MALFUNCTION RESTART ENGINE. That's new. To date : blown amp, remote start not working now this. Still love the car however :)

Does anyone recommend dropping my car off for all these updates even though I am experiencing no symptoms?
Not yet. Let them sort out whatever needs to be sorted. When/if a TSB is issued, or you experience a problem, then it'll be your turn.

This instant electronic group discussion system has it's good points and it's bad. The bad is that when one car owner experiences a problem, everybody else assumes they're going to as well and all the dealers get swamped with cars that don't actually have a problem.

Well said Z.....Every manufacture has there issues with new cars. I can't count the number of campaigns/recalls the 2014 Ghibli has had on my fingers and toes. Your can go to any automotive forum and see folks that have had issues with first run cars. No one expects to have issues with there new car, but it is the support that you receive when you do. We have had one real issue with a new Giulia. My tech found the issue, reported to Alfa tech support and they were right on top of it. They even had me ship the failed part back to engineering so they could see first hand what the issue was. The real issue today is that the modern car is in my mind is over engineered and when there is problems with the first new ones it does take time sometimes to figure out what is going on. Because no one in the field/dealer has been there yet, sort of a ground breaking experience when looking for issues that are not just cut and dry.

At Liberty to say what the issue was? Just curious really.

There was a problem with the connector to the left front wheel speed sensor. We had to replace the sensor and the connector on the wire harness end. One of the 2 male pins was broken so every time the car hit a bump it would light up like a Christmas Tree. Forgot we had another issue also some guy lost his headlight washer cover....any one on the board resemble that? hahahha

not funny @kanundrum....the car has been a big disappointment for me so far....moreover the dealer & Alfa can't seem to figure out what is wrong:mad:
@Cupshot's comment....no you can't paint with a broad brush on 1st run cars...I've had 7!...BUT what will effect everyone is how Alfa handles the situation...and so far..it is lacking...

I too am a frequent 1st Run Buyer, have had 7 including this one.
My last one, the 2017 Chyrsler Pacifica was the only Disappointment. While it is not a $70k+ car its $38k for the model I had, the Chrysler Brand severely disappointed me in the handling of the significant problems i expereinced during the 7months/13k+ miles of ownership. Seeing as this lands under the FCA family also, I truly hope they go above and beyond to ensure your extreme satisfaction with the handling and resolution of your specific issues.

My experience with Italian motorcycles suggests that the term "quality Italian" AND "Italian customer support" are both oxymoron's. A friend had a Maserati for less then a year then dumped it. The dealer had it more then he did during that brief ownership. Seem for Italian manufactures beauty often trumps reliability/quality.

Wow this could be an electrical issue migrating form the initial problem. Good luck and have them do a full diagnostic on the OBD2 machine. SD, Leonardo, Gallileo or whatever There are a few from the Ferrari line. All including proprietary software.
