Just noticed that Squadra Tuning in The Netherlands can now access race mode on non-QV cars, see
Squadra race mode

What we need is dorifto on your dirt roads, pavement wet or dry if there is a suitable location. Or anybody, but we know you have the ability and equipment to record. And the desire to utilize race mode.

Brakes in race mode shouldn't be grabby/surprising.
I REALLY hope it is for real this time, you guys and the car deserve it.
Just no vids from anybody demonstrating , like I said going back maybe a year when I first saw the dash lighting up on the stelvio forum courtesy of an italian tuner.

I am very interested in this project thread... being under lease, but looking to buy out my car, I'll probably wait. Drifto, I have the Ti Perf Pkg, etc. (see below on sig line) and am SUPER STOKED for your preview. My intent is to use an actual QV DNA. Would a Q4, TiPP modder please confirm:

Q1) That three modes of suspension damper control emerge: Soft, Mid and Hard, instead of two. Indicators should say Soft, Hard instead of Soft or nothing, as with stock 2.0 TiPP. If so, does Hard actually feel more firm than stock Dynamic "nothing" mode?
Q2) The three byte MES updates are right for my North American Sport TiPP
Q3) Proxi re-alignment operations work unlike cphilippou above
Q4) Race Mode switch behavior matches the QV, with lock-out protection (having to over-rotate past Race to actually enables) and Illumination enable on the suspension button
Q5) Any brake/steering modulation/sensitivity change experienced between D and R modes?

I'm also curious if any complications exist with EC's P2 maps. Drifto's 0-60 performance seemed to be right in the 4.3-4.6 second range, so I'd say "yes" unless that was wheelspin at 50-60mph which I'd doubt. LSD launch can go off at 2,500 RPM with little or no spin, btw.

Is there a tuner here in the States that wants to take point on a FAQ and How-to for this, looking for a Q4 TiPP early adopter?

Anxiously await more results,

Tried flashing a 2018 build date July 2017 Giulia Ti Q4 to CC from AC and drive train control node fail error comes up same as my 2017 Giulia Q4. I noticed 83 AC 48 is the same does the people who have had theirs work properly have the same 83 AC 48? Please look thanks. Keep in mind, I've had every software update completed as of July 2nd while the 2018 Giulia has had no updates in over a year and a half.

Great thread, anxiously awaiting more results on the Q4....
I've seen this part number listed here for the R-DNA driving mode selector: 156 129 321
I was wondering if anybody knows the decoder ring to convert to the other format for part numbers I've seen on Mopar sites. For example, I found these 13 different parts for "Driving Mode Selector" and would love to know which one is equivalent but the descriptions don't differentiate them. The prices range from ~$86 to ~$141 on the particular site I found but don't know which one is correct. Thanks.

My DNAR switch has arrived but I'm struggling to get storage bin and shifter bezel off from alfa service manual instructions. Can anyone give me some hints on how to remove?
Thanks
Use a guitar pick or thin plastic tool to pry the front of the shifter trim up. It should pop out fairly easily. The rest of it is easier. I just push in from the front (cup holder side) with my fingers and lift up. It'll eventually pop. Once the front pops, work back towards the storage bin. The bin and front trims fit together, so remember that when putting back together.

I can confirm that Stelvio 2.0T 280HP has Race mode :) Just enabled it. Used the quick mod with 90.8 ohm on 5 and 6. No race button. Changed 88 from B4 to D4 and 115 from 15 to 16. I am not sure these are the only ones or the correct ones, because the throttle map is the same in all modes with this. I will experiment more.

Really looking forward to this getting figured out. My understanding is that race mode on the stelvio qv switched the car to rear wheel drive. Does the same happen with this mod in Q4 cars?

Disassembly instructions
According to @Nicolaj and others, you don't have to remove the armrest. However since I'm a bit of a coward and just looking at plastic clips causes sweat to form at my forehead, I've gone the long-winded route.

Credit goes partially to @Nicolaj @Giulia_wtf12 and https://inkocraft.weebly.com/center-console-dismantling.html
Thanks!

Alright - with that out of the way, here are the steps:
  1. Remove the rear air vents.
No tools necessary; just pull straight backwards. Be careful not to pull too far as there is a connector for the USB port that has to be disconnected after loosening the whole plastic surround.
  2. Remove 2x T20 and 1x 8mm hex screws which hold the armrest in place (https://inkocraft.weebly.com/center-console-dismantling.html)
  3. Remove the coin holder. A plastic trim tool can be used to lever it upwards.
  4. Remove the plastic trim containing the e-brake.
Start at the back, pulling upward carefully.
Once the plastic trim is loose, you have to disconnect the e-brake. Use a flatblade screwdriver to unlatch the red locking mechanism.
  5. Now comes the "hard" part (at least for me, that was): Remove the "main" center console trim.
I've started my way from the back. There's really nothing to it apart from pulling hard on some of them.
Take a look at the attached pictures which show the location of all the clips.

  6. Unplug all the connectors. Here are a few pictures. Not too difficult:
