I thought I was getting a good deal, but looking at this thread I'm guessing no. I'm in San Antonio:

Ti MSRP around 49,000, down to 43-44,000.
$4,500 down
$624/mo
10,000 miles.

Do not take that deal. They are trying to take advantage of you. 1.25% or less of MSRP is the target (with no money down other than tag).

How do I get to that? Already using the conquest offer plus a little extra from the dealer.

I've only bought new used cars before, never wanted to own a depreciating asset, but really love this car. Only lease education I have had is from the dealer/forums/internet, so thanks for the help

Are we assuming credit scores of 800 or more with these terms for absolute best? Sometimes, you just cant haggle too aggressively simply because of the person's credit rating.

I think anyone looking at leasing should visit the website below and spend a few hours reading and using the tools that they have. It will save you a ton of money and peace of mind knowing that when you do a lease deal you are getting a fair deal.

I guess I could have tried to strong arm them by walking out or something but they wouldn't budge on either the 750 off the top or lowering the monthly payment. Claimed they were making 350.00 off the deal. Regardless it was close enough so I got the car.

Congrats! LOL I did that tactic when I was negotiating. I walked out the door because the dealer did agree to a price I wanted. He called me 6 minutes later saying that he would come down, which I replied...OK I will see you tomorrow.

Everyone has their own preferences for negotiating tactics, but I would tell them that you "want to pay X with zero or $1000 total out of pocket, end of story." But with how lopsided that original deal is, you might be better off trying a different dealership. People are getting Giulias for 1.25% or less of MSRP. That is a fact and they need to step it up.

Congrats!

I live in a tough market. I did not get as good a deal as others on here, but when you are behind the wheel, all of that goes out the window. Happy motoring.

Correct.

If your credit is not in the highest tier (might actually be in the mid 700s), you will be paying around $30 more a month.

Went back, and like I said I'm a novice so didn't understand everything the first time around.

$48790 on $47090 invoice
$3750 incentives
36 months/10k
50% residual
0.00083 MF
$2000 drive off which includes first month payment
$639/mo which includes taxes

They are screwing you royally. The 24 month program is much better...just to give you an idea, I am paying less, with first month only on drive off (every other fee included), 24 months, 12k (not 10) on a 47,9XX msrp....and that includes talking a hit on my trade that was upside down.....and to top it off, the car I wanted was not on the lot, they had to get it from another dealer (that dealer wanted much more from me)...

$2,000 - $639 first payment - $250 for tag = $1,111
$1,111 / 36 months = $30.86
$30.86 + $639 = $669.86 true payment with zero down
$669.86 / $48,790 MSRP = 0.0137 x 100 = 1.37

1.37% of MSRP is way too high. No good.

What should I be trying to get them to go to?
