Hi All,

I am curious. Are you guys driving your Quadrifoglio every day as your primary driver? I have acquired a Q.V. and also have a 4 year old Audi S5 (which is really fun too). Debating if I keep the Audi around as a DD or have you gone all in on your Q.V.?

My QV is a daily car. But no commute, just business use. Will run in the winter but I do not have to go out until roads are plowed. will run snow tires as we drop down to low teens on many days and we drive north for fun weekends. This is the car my wife also drives. I have experience driving on wet cold roads and know what snow tires do.

While technically not a daily driver, as I walk to work, it is my only car, and will put 20.000 km on it annually, using it for long & fast distance driving in Europe (France, Germany). Have the OE 19" winter wheels and will happily drive it through winter. It has also proven to be a surprisingly capable transport for my 35 kilo Weimaraner dog, in the back seat, where it seems that the ride and exhaust note immediately has a calming effect :)

QV + FiST?!

You're my hero!

Fiesta ST is on my short list to own, love that car!

I'll keep my truck, QV is next in 2021 (maybe after mid-cycle refresh?), then a third car (if I'm lucky)...though I do also contemplate a NC/ND Miata.

What's ABQ?

Also, what truck?

Bought my first truck (Tundra) last year and I like it more than I thought...though I'll always need a fun car!

My Tundra is orange (Inferno Red) and that's always been my favorite color on the Fiesta ST (Molten Orange)!

I try to usually ride my motorcycle to work (BMW S1000XR) but on days when it is my turn to drop off my daughter at school, I take the car. Weekends whe we are doing things as a family we usually take the GX 460 but I guess I can say that the QV is my daily--when I'm not taking something else.

Nice garage!

GX is on my short list too. Been really into the Toyota 4x4 scene really. Bought my first truck (Tundra) last year and have gone down the rabbit hole from there. Jeep GC SRT has caught my eye lately too though now that it's been forgotten in the long shadow of the Trackhawk...

Hi, Mine is a daily driver. I live in Miami, FL and do a lot of highway driving. I use a pressure washer a few times a week to clean it. Summer time with all our rain is no fun more cleaning kinda like up north with the snow.:grin2:

My 2018 QV is my daily driver. I purchased it Nov 24th of 2018 and so far I've put 1600 miles on it and I love it.
Unfortunately it is at the dealership with a flat rear tire and they are telling me the the Pirelli tires are on backorder??

^^^If too close to the sidewall maybe not?

Might just have to bit the bullet & get four new Michelin Pilot Sport 4S.

I had a flat that needed replacement on my QV. Got it replaced by dealer within 24 hours. (They replaced it with a rear first go around - that does not work well. Make your dealer does not make that same mistake.) You might try Tire Rack is your dealer cannot come through.

On another note, while I was at the dealer I asked them to take a look at the back window. The following day after taking delivery I noticed the glass had these strange swill marks that encompassed almost the entire glass. It was wierd because they really weren't visible to the naked eye but if the glass fogged up you could see them. First I thought it was from the inside so I took glass cleaner, sprayed and wiped. Nothing, it's from the outside. I sprayed it down and nothing. Okay so I thought maybe it was residue from the protective wrap that cars come with so I took some goof off and no luck. I called the dealer and the salesman asked me to take it back so he could take a look at it. So I take it to him and, of course, he can't see them. So I try and fog the glass up so he could see them and it kind of worked. He saw one or two and said I'll be right back. He came back with a rag soaked in gasoline and started wiping down the glass lol I told him yo, what are you doing? His reply, I'm sure this is just adhesive and gas removes anything smh I forgot to mention that I told him I tried good off.
Ok so while at the dealer, dealing with my flat tire I ask them to take a look at it. Now, at this point my windows are tinted so the marks/scratches are clearly visible now. Tech tells me well, I can see if they can be buffed out or I can get you a quote for a new glass. I laughed and said well, if you can't polish them out you guys are paying for the replacement and I explained to him why it should be covered by them. He agreed and said he'd see what they can do. So 3 days later I had to call them since there was no follow up call by them and asked what was going on. Well, they couldn't polish out the scratches. They where all scratches, just like the tint guy told them after he tinted my windows. (dealer installed option) So I'm getting a new rear glass, according to the tech. I said okay cool but what about my tint? Sorry we will not replace that. So I had to explain to him, again, over the phone what had transpired a month prior to me getting the windows tinted and that I had purchased the tint thru AR. He says okay, let me pull your paper work to see if you bought the tint thru them and then he was going to talk to the salesman just to confirm that I had pointed out the blemishes on the glass to them. I told him cool, if for some reason he "doesn't remember" he can ask the Finance Manager. He was made aware of the scratches by the tint guy. Sorry for the rant guys. Bottomline, they are replacing the glass and the tint but man, what a freaking headache dealing with these people. I hope this is the last time I have to deal with them like this or I'm taking my car to a different AR dealer to get serviced.

My 2018 QV is daily driver. I have a 15 minute ride to work with the last 2 miles on a highway. Don't have room for a second car. We have four season in Kansas City with some winters not being mild. If there is too much snow on the road or the road is not plowed, I will car pool with the wife who drives a 2007 GMC Envoy. I have Pirelli winters tires and plan to buy another set of rims for the stock Pirelli tires. Best car I've owned and I've had a Crossfire, Audi A6, Audi A5, and a Buick Regal T07.

I'm 7500mi on 2018 QV Trofeo. Daily Driver. N mode 98% of the time, 'cause there's really no where let it run in the crazy traffic and the retirees in Florida. Don't have to worry about winter tires, but as mentioned above, the corsas are super sticky, with rubber dust immediately apparent after a good washing. Just goes with the territory. I'm running the iron rotors, and brake dust is always present too, as with most hi-performance rides. My only compliant is that Alfa should have provided coated rotors to prevent immediate rust from forming right after a wash. Spend time cleaning the rims, only to have rusty water coat the inside of the rims right after washing. I've been looking to see if there's an option to have them dip or if there's an aftermarket rotor similar to GM's FNC rotors! No luck so far!

After you wash your car, just drive it back and forth a few times and the rust will be gone. It's a bit tedious but gets the job done - I've seen Matt Moreman "Obsessed Garage" do it and he's even talked about it. If it works for him... ;-)

Michelins up-sized on my QV - they do tons better than the OEM Corsas in rain and light snow (see other threads; can handle standing water on switch-backs 2+” water no sweat) - but not the 3-4 feet of snow we get per snowfall in Flagstaff, Arizona (2nd snowiest city in the USA, including AK)... on switchbacks (mountainous driving; we have peaks to 1KFT)...BUT I am sure it’d do well on frozen with snow tires, IF it clears the snow, using the snow-shoes discussed elsewhere...

But it’s not always what the QV can do, but what others do to it lol... I chose to not risk tourists running into the QV up here heading to ski, and drive my AWD SUV on those days... so I did not re-shoe my QV (the tire threads cover a lot of this)

If I lived back east as I once did, I might drive it more in the goo, and re-shoe... East coast only gets baby-snows and not much to deal with, except ill-trained snow drivers LOL.

So for me it’s a daily driver - when it’s not snowing more than a flurry of 4-5 inches...

Yup my 2017 QV is the daily driver, just flipped 10k miles yesterday. I think the simplicity of the DNA mode is what makes it so easy to drive in almost all conditions. Sure it’s a challenge to see how far we can push this amazing car, but I don’t expect unrealistic tire grip in wet conditions, I use my head and drive in A mode. This car will spin ANY tire under full throttle from a stop no matter the temperature!

Learning to drive manual trans/ rear wheel drive before the creation of traction control/LSD/Etc...puts controlling this car or any car into perspective. You can’t and don’t want the car to do everything for you. Learning to control the throttle and counter steer is critical.

Hence, When the coast is clear I will switch into D or Race for a bit of fun, switch to the paddles, spin the tires and keep control. Every day I’m still amazed at the versatility of this car as I’m sure the rest of my fellow QV owners are.

Happy driving!
