The shop charged me $150. I also had them install the front license plate bracket for me on the passenger side tow hook. That was probably 15 minutes. Say $120 then. Worth every cent though.
Which shop did the install ?

Just my local auto shop in Massapequa...D&D Auto. Very basic straightforward install that anyone with a lift and simple tools could accomplish.

By the way, I've gotten really good with full exhaust sound in Dynamic mode with manual shifting....at knowing exactly when to shift up or down and get the most amazing cracks and farts. Have 1,300 miles on the Quad now and love it even more every day.
I believe Giulia queefs...

LOL, I was searching for a more elegant word and couldn't come up with one. Thanks for the thesaurus option.

I've been thinking about this upgrade but have been holding off to see if someone comes up with a product like the JB4 for my old 335i, perhaps with the ability to enable race mode exhaust on dynamic mode.

Wishful thinking?

Steve

Haha! Proper exhausts neither fart nor queef. Those are Barks, gentleman. Farts come from cheesy coffee cans (Fart Cans) on punk tuner cars who don't realize a header is the best first mod. ;)

Shhhh! When the engine is turned off, it reverts back to normal operation. Unless someone checks the vacuum hose connector, they wouldn't know. It's also plug and play, so if you ever had to remove the evidence it wouldn't be hard.
This is excellent news OP, thanks for sharing!

I was hoping there would be a fix for enjoying full exhaust sound WITH electronic safety nets on. I used to be of the mindset that stability control was for wimps, but I realize now how sophisticated they are, most allowing some slide before stepping in. Hopefully QV has it tuned right...

I've said it once or twice in this forum...the exhaust controller is absolutely the best low-cost investment you can make to enhance your driving experience. Even my wife asks me to press "button B" on the Forza remote because that race mode exhaust sound is pure fun.

I purchased this controller as well. I haven't installed it as of yet, doing it this week. But I read through the instructions and it does say this is possible which would be really conveinent and awesome. Simey have you tried this?
No, I didn't know that was possible. I just use the tiny remote which is attached to my key fob.

"Remote control can be programmed to newer versions of HomeLink (version 5 and higher) that is integrated into many cars. Older versions of HomeLink (earlier than 2013) will not support the 433MHz frequency of the remote transmitter used by Forza."

Oooh that's intriguing. I wasn't fond of having to keep track of and use the little key fob, but being able to integrate it into the Homelink buttons might change my mind...

Hey guys. Just an update. My mechanic installed the exhaust controller today, took about 2 hours with clean install. To repeat what Simey is preaching, this was the best investment. Having the amazing exhaust note all the time is beyond awesome. Better yet took 2 seconds to program the homelink with the wireless remote so the conveinence is there as well. No more wireless remote. I recommend this product to anyone with the QV.

For you penny-pinching Giulia guys that might have an empty beer can laying around and you can leave the window down when driving:

It might sound more like a Giulia like if the beer can is Birra Metzger!
