Let's collect the signs members have seen that were the first indication that their battery was going and record how many experienced the symptom. Feel free to add more.

My bad. I should've gotten it.

I tried to edit my mistake. No dice.

After a very cold night it could not start the car anymore. It turned a little but not enough to start.
I changed it myself. Very simple operation.
Did you try charging it first?

No, I knew it was fried. The car stood at the dealer for 3 months before they sold it to me.
It had an anti-marten system installed (something common in parts of Europe) that completely drained the battery after about 1 month. And I’m sure it stayed flat for a long while after.

I managed to resuscitate it over the summer but I was expecting this to happen the moment autumn came.

OT, but would that system keep rodents at bay? I've got mice, rats, chipmunks, squirrels, and bunnies. They have already made a mess of my wife's Subaru, turning sound padding into nesting materials.

Auto Start/Stop does not engage, no errors.
Rear defroster stops working, no errors.
Random disco light show.
Remote start failure, generic remote start error indicated in center display.

I replaced my battery a couple weeks ago when I had a check engine light, auto start/stop disabled and the car was in limp mode. Also I have the external temp reading crazy temps. No codes showed at the dealer. Well, a couple weeks after battery replacement, got the check engine/auto start stop disabled and limp mode. Lasted for two days. Today, I can't lower any windows but the drivers side with the drivers side buttons but the passenger window opens using the passenger button. Also have Auto start/stop disabled again. Have an appointment on the 28th but unless codes are thrown, what should I do?

That's right on the verge of turning off auto start stop and the rear defroster. Charge that thing to full with a 2A charger using the under hood terminals. See if it continues to drop back down.
