Fast Times at Maserati in the New MC20
The super sports car boasts a Maserati-designed twin-turbo V6, refined styling elements, and amazing road feel as the first in a promised “product renaissance.”
I'm with you, my factory warranty comes to an end June and then it'll be get serious time.here's the rub and there really isn't any way around it. with FI motors the initial response for more HP is to dial up the boost. which is like playing the game of perfection, when have you dialed up the boost too much & things start to grenade. but we are not talking about Subaru here, were are talking Alfa QV that was developed by Ferrari engineers under Mr. Krief. I don't consider helping the car breathe in and out better as internal modifications. I don't want to change cylinder heads, rods, etc.
I'm thinking if the intake system is upgraded?? from what it is, you add down-pipes & HFC and then a tune....the engine will be stout enough to get a 55-60 HP gain?? Once my extended warranty is over, I think I'm going to take the plunge...
It would be nice to upgrade them to something beefier. I would imagine the GTA would be beefier for long track uses compared to a base. We sent one out to a machine shop to see what we can do but at this point I’m pretty much done with the car. It is what it is. 2 years down a rabbit hole. In the end no matter what o do it will never be faster than new m3
Stopped by shop today to look at my car. Here’s a super rare STO and SVJ for you. I gotta admit I’m not a lambo fan but that STO looks unreal. Between rear spoiler, roof scoop and front hood it’s prolly 100k in CF parts. UnrealWell it only took BMW 6-7 years to catch up...now just have some fun with the QV instead of dropping more coins into it...when my warranty is done at the end of the year, I will see about the high flow cats; down pipes & tune...if I can get 550-560 I will be pleased. Spoke to the Master Alfa Tech at Miller and he said the internals on the car as it sits are strong enough to handle that extra power. At the end of the day, mods or not, once the extended is over, if the engines implodes I'm out of luck anyway
