This damn switch panel was a pain for me, the clips were Under the armrest leather, after fighting it for a but i didnt care if I broke it or not, and just yanked it out lol.. didnt break but I trimmed the leather back before reinstalling it. Had to fix my AC by swapping out the side mirror assy...

 

Sorry that nobody replied, this is great info! I don't need to rip into my doors yet, but may eventually and this will help make it go much much smoother.

 

Good pictures. I have taken my door cards off a number of times for sound deeding/killing rattles and would like to warn anyone else trying this that those white/blue clips break and are near impossible to remove once broken haha

How did the speakers fit? And more importantly, how do they sound?

Haven't gotten the speakers yet. Will get them some time next week.

 

Cool, good luck. Wouldn't adding 2-way speakers to the existing tweeters produce a bit too much treble though?

 

Thanks for the pics and info. Haven't done anything to my car yet, but will be doing a full bi-amped system upgrade, as I've done to all of my previous vehicles, in the future.

They base differently improved. I wish I new better before buying and got the speakers with out tweeters.

Also its better not to install this speaker cover that comes in a box. Otherwise it just vibrates.

 

I am sorry for not updating for a while. But here is my conclusion on the speakers. I did get rid of tweeters on the speakers it made it slightly better, but unless you are planning to install amp (which I am planning to do in the near future) 180w speakers are not the way to go. I've done some research and found out that my radio doesn't have high out put this is why its very quite and I have to crank up the volume. For mean while I've downloaded an app that acts like a amp. Work ok, but I have to readjust the setting for almost every song. Also its made a much bigger difference by giving more sound to the back speakers.

 

Fully insulated wire crimp terminal nylon spade quick connect female. I cut the stock connectors off and crimped these on.

The replacements you put in are not the greatest I think you would have been better with the OEM oar going with a higher quality component. JL Audio 650 C3 has a nice set that are components but also can be mounted as co axils so you get the quality of the components in coaxil configuration
