Side Skirt Options that aren't Carbon Fiber

I'd like to add side skirts to my Giulia similar to the options below, but like most things available for Alfa's everything is Carbon Fiber (or Carbor Fiber look). Are there are good options for modifications to our cars that AREN'T carbon fiber? I know some people love it, but it's to the extreme now when those are the only options and it's perplexing. I can't be the only one that doesn't want CF all over their car. I realize I could paint the CF but that is much more of a hassle than I want.

I just want something like the above in a nice gloss black to match/offset the rest of my car Trofeo white Ti Sport..

Why do you want side skirts is also a legit question. A bit F&F for my tastes and would look great to the Honda crowd.

That being said, if you find injection moulded plastic, you would have to paint out to match your car. You are then adding 15-20 lbs of non-functional plastic cladding to the side of your car to serve what purpose?

Fair question, and not entirely sure I want it. However, I don't think side skirts are FF style, though admittedly some of the side-skirt options definitely are a little more flair then I'd choose myself. There are definitely some "Honda" options to add to these cars, starting with some of the exhaust and rear spoiler options. Your generalization isn't completely accurate or really very helpful, though I understand it's a go to for people that would rather criticize then engage; But, to each their own.

Specifically these would simply add contrast (black skirts/white car) to the side of the car. Much like the OEM front and rear on my Ti Sport - which isn't Civic styled last time I checked. Neither is your QV (assuming from your sig) which has one of the options above on it already.

And, for side skirts there is no way ABS or something similar would weigh in at 20 pounds. A couple to 5 pounds max. I added metal jacking rails to my Mustang and they weighed less than 15 pounds for both. And yes, plastic would need to be painted gloss black, but the prep on CF would be insane comparatively.

Also, one last comment. I was also generally asking why it seems like every exterior or interior modification option is CF. Maybe I'm just new to the European car world, but some non-CF options would be nice to at least consider - though I am not one to modify the look of my cars too terribly much anyway.

CF is where the market is now and with such a niche car it is hard to convince a vendor to manufacture something that probably less than 20% would buy (i.e. gloss black or paint matched vs CF).

I know you didn’t ask but I did get a spoiler that is painted gloss black and I love it. It looks very OEM.

It does look very good! Something I'd definitely consider. I'm partial to "clean" looks/lines and solid colors.

Seems like most "body kit" type products are painted in primer, so you're looking at painting something regardless. I'd say pick the style you like and have it painted. A few members here have done that with the QV OEM spoiler on non-QVs who wanted a color matched look.

Actually my biggest criticism of carbon fibre trim is that from more than a few meters away it actually looks like plain gloss black! Appearance wise IMHO none of the aftermarket side skirts look as good as the OEM. Some look decidedly cheap. Unfortunately my work driveway has a tight curve and if I had side skirts they would be scraped the first week for sure. But AHA, that's another problem with CF- difficulty of repairing!

Actually the point of CF is that when it is done right it is functional and light weight. High end cars are covered in functional, light weight CF parts.
The problem with CF is that functional light weight CF parts are very pricey and of course, difficult to repair.
Exposed weave CF is all about showing off though. Most functional light weight CF with cost considerations gets painted.

Most available CF pieces are usually finished off, so the cost of the piece itself + stripping and repainting would be annoying. And, I completely get the point of CF - but the sheer amount of CF (or CF look) even for interior pieces is insane. Maybe it is where the market is it, I just don't get the appeal in covering every single surface exterior and interior in CF. I'll stop whining now. 😂

There's an Italian company that sells Quadrifoglio side skirt replicas called Helvetia Spoiler.

Just got mine delivered yesterday. 350 euro total (275 + 75 shipping from Italy to Poland). Art. N1368/N Minigonne / Side Skirts Alfa Giulia "Quadrifoglio" con profilo NERO | eBay. I think they ship worldwide.

I can't wait to have them on my Giulia. I'm consistently avoiding putting ANY carbon fiber on it. It's a B(lack)-Tech (so more or less like Nero Edizione in the US), and I'm sticking to it - I've already got an OEM spoiler made out of ABS that got wrapped in gloss black.

Here are two Giulias posted on my domestic forum [Giulia] Akcesoria Giulia - Strona 23 (post #221 if pagination won't work). With skirts from Helvetia. I was looking for exactly that and bought it almost immediately after I found out.

Here's some pics of mine unpacked. The add-on has no hooks and is empty inside - it will have to be glued (attached with the package).

Side skirts on my Giulia. I will post "on wheels" photos once everything is ready. Haven't seen it in person yet, but photos look really promising.

My technician said it wasn't P&P - they had to add some spacers to align the skirt with doors and wheel arches as well as they tried mixing the frame from the original skirt to the replica.
