Hi folks,

I have purchased Giulia Ti Sport 2019 end of June from LA dealer, second owner.

At a time, dealer charge me $695 for windows tint as a pre-installed aftermarket accessory.
3 months in, I started having doubts whether there was any tinting done by the dealership at all or if I actually have a base factory tint.

Would you happen to have any default VLT numbers Giulias are coming out of the factory with? Including the sunroof, which is the only part that looks tinted to me of all.

The plan is to have it measured at a local tint shop, get some sort of a paper from them confirming VLT and if matching the factory numbers - contact dealer for the refund and to proceed with small claims court if necessary.

Any advise is appreciated.
Thank you,

I think it’s time to move on, no way is it worth your time and aggravation at this point.

not sure when u say LA dealer meansin Los Angeles CA or LA state.
if it's CA, u can hardly tell there is tint at 70% unless u have identical car next to it without tint.
at 40% tint, u can generally tell.
easiest way to tell that there is tint on window is look for wordings or glass company stamp and it will have small bubble/edge around lettering.
i do have 80% tint on windshield with llumar air for uv/heat rejection purpose.
it's illegal to tint ur front windshield but at 80% they can't tell it's tinted.
rest of car i have 40% formulaone statos to make 35% as factory glass have slight tint to it
+ 15% for roof
having 15% roof tint makes world of difference and no need to close shade.

The 2022 California window tint laws requirements are for the front windshield and front side windows to have a 70% VLT.

Stock glass is 70% tint from the factory- Built into the glass.

Penn Tint laws:

Now, the question is are these inforced? Sure. But good luck getting an actual ticket. Been running tint front windows in CA for years. I got tickets back in the 90's but not any since.
