possible battery issue

I'm dealing with an issue that smells a lot like a bad battery, but am not sure. A couple days ago I embarked on the ambitious project to fix an exhaust leak near the turbo on by 2019 Giulia Ti sport, awd We didn't disconnect the battery. After experiencing the inevitable issue of not being able to get the heat shields out, we put it back together for the night. when I went to move it, it wouldn't start, or even turn over. every code and warning known to man (and woman) flashed.
after waiting overnight, she started right up. I let it idle for 30 mins, then drove for another 30. at one point during the drive, at a stop light, she started to shake on idle. when I gave her a bit of gas, the shaking stopped. turned her off at the store, and voila, wouldn't start! after 30 mins and while on the phone to roadside assistance, she started and I drove home. I put a charger on the battery and it read 11.5 volts. the battery is 18 months old. about 30k miles. the symptoms remind me of previous battery failures, but...those batteries were both older than this, with significantly more miles. So, am I staring at the obvious, that my battery is pooched...so soon, or did we possibly hit a wire or disrupt something when trying to extract the heat shield. Thanks for any thoughts or ideas. NAPA is closed today, so can't get the battery tested, and in any event, she won't start now...

napa agm 850 cca. 18 months old. car has started and run since we put the heat shield back on. all systems show errors. similar thing happened once before and. the issue was the battery. battery charged to 12.4, now won't go higher than 11.9. that seems to show the battery is bad, but after only 18 months and 30k miles???
