I believe the tire inflator kit was a QV- only item. the 2.0 only comes with runflats thus no need to include the inflator kit. Someone posted about this same problem with Ally a while ago; you might search for that thread to see their resolution.

Yes check your build sheet or a spec list to see if you even had one. Not cool for insurance to try and scam you. It's not a Quad for cripes sake.

I second @Jvoros . I read the manual when I picked up my car, went back to the dealer to get one (my Q4 delivered without one). They provided one, and I'm grateful, but it doesn't fit the slot where it stows under the trunk floor. Definitely not a stock item upon delivery.

 

Armed with the knowledge obtained from this forum, I called Ally and asserted that my car came with run-flats, there was no tire inflator, and my window sheet does not say tire inflation as an add-on. The person on the other end was just a garden variety customer service rep; he was apologetic, said he was going to update my account to reflect the disputed charge, but that I should expect a follow-up call next week after it is reviewed. I will update when I hear more.

 

Good luck on that follow-up call. Ally's customer service people are a joke. I called twice about a bogus unsubstantiated charge I received after turning in my lease. Both times I was told I'd receive a call the next day. Never got a call. On my third call I got transferred to a different department . That c/s agent was very helpful; resolved situation within hours. Sorry I didn't keep her name and direct phone.

 

I hear this is a common scam with Ally. In their book, every Giulia came with one. That coupled with third rate customer service, they figure that most of the people will just say, the hell with it.

 

I returned my Giulia 3/22/24 and just received the same charge from Ally for tire inflator, which was never even told about by dealership. And they made me buy additional tire coverage for $12 monthly, now charging $138 for something that I never even knew about.
