Well, I have officially received leasing info from one dealer here in LA. I believe this is the TI, but they didn't list as such so maybe it is just the base model. MSRP of 40,590, 48 months @ 579 with 1999 down (taxes and fees not included). This sounds a bit steep to me. But maybe I shouldn't be surprised since they told me they have a 10k markup on the QV but would lease for 48 months with 15K down at $1400 a month (which is insane). Any one else received any info yet?

So I finally got a deal done today at a local dealer (one that I honestly didn't know even existed until this afternoon)

MSRP - $43440
Negotiated to - $35,600
APR - 1.25% (apparently the financing bank only works on APR, not MF)
36 months
12k miles annually
$438 payment, includes Texas taxes
Forgot to add this is 0 down, besides 1st month's payment.

That gets me pretty much at 1% of MSRP and it has every option I wanted. I really appreciate everyone's help on this forum, special thanks to you Mconte5

0 down? If so, great deal! Congrats.

Not many have been able to get to down to 1%. Maybe things are softening as the year rolls on.

Depends on his driving habits. I did 39 months, that was the best deal they could work for me. My commute is less than 4 miles and I use my wife's SUV for road trips. I will never wear out the tires at my current usage rate.

Don't listen to Debbie Downer, Inprogress. The price is right, enjoy the car.

#278 ·
He has a 12k mile per year lease, presumably he drives more than you...those tires aint gonna last 36k Also note that the manual states to change the spark plugs at 30k, how much do you venture to say that will cost if the oil changes are 200 or so...Then there is the drive belt...
"Areas that are not dusty: recommended maximum mileage 36,000 miles (60,000 km). Regardless of the mileage, the belt must be replaced every 4 years. Dusty
areas and/or demanding use of the vehicle (cold climates, town use, long periods of idling): advised maximum mileage 18,000 miles (30,000 km). Regardless of
the mileage, the belt must be replaced every 2 years "
Finally, there is the brake fluid replacement.... "The brake fluid replacement has to be done every two years, irrespective of the mileage" how much do you think that will cost?

Finally got the approval from the wife. Looking at a ti sport tomorrow at San Diego Alfa Romeo/fiat. They have three cars on the lot that would suit me. They all have a price about 52k. I need 12k miles a year and wish to lease for 24 months. I believe the great dr. Would say that a fair lease with about $1k out the door is between 1-1.2% of msrp. Is that still a good rule of thumb with today's environment? thanks everyone for the great advice on everything Alfa romeo (and sometimes more).

Went to the Glendale dealer. Worked with Rodrigo. Awesome guy, knows his stuff about the car, lives and breathes Alfa. We talked at length since I was coming from a 2015 STi over pros and cons between the two.

Was able to work out a decent lease deal.
Giulia Ti Sport 19" package Vesivo Gray (sp), sun/moonroof, love the paddle shifters, love the supportive seats, no premium audio, blind spot protect, plus other stuff.

MSRP: 46790
Invoice Price: 44199
Money Factor 0.00011
Resudial 62%
$0 Disposition Fee

24/10k

$0 down = $524/tax
$3000 down = $406/tax
$5675 down = $300/tax

Went for the 0 down and kept the cash I got back from my other car sale.

#289 · (Edited)
You overpaid...its unclear of you mean including tax or plus tax, but plus tax makes it much worse...also the disposition fee is mandated by the FCA lease...you better have something in writing..funniest part of that "deal" is that the overall payments are HIGHER if you put money down....

Sdrgn; are you in San Diego by chance? I spoke with San Diego Alfa and am waiting for their quote, etc, on two cars on their lot. Maybe they do a better deal for the both of us if we can stack the deals. Just a thought

I'm just getting the 4 banger. If you are looking for a quad, bob baker has three of them marked down up to 7500 off sticker. Bob baker Alfa Romeo of Carlsbad.

Could someone check this Lease option?

Hi I am located in Austin, Texas.

I got a leasing deal today at:

Giulia Ti Montecarlo Blue Metallic (pretty much loaded)

MSRP: $49,740
after discount: $43,740
Down payment: $5,000 + first month payment (never financed/leased a car/no mortgage, on rent) (therefore, not high credit score, around 700 I guess)
Trade in my old 08 bmw x3: $4,500

lease options:
24 months $269-279
or 36 months $339-349

Which gives me:
24 months equivalent months monthly payment: $674
36 months equivalent months monthly payment: $613

I am thinking about 36 months (high chance won't keep the car after lease)

What do you guys think? THANKS

Go to another dealer..then tell this sales guy that you refuse to do business with thieves....he is asking 674 for a lease that should be under 500 for you...crazy...if you are a poor grad student you should not be leasing this car in the first place...there are plenty of fine cars for 160-300 monthly that will hold you over until you start making money...

#305 ·
No no, put NO money down other than first months payment, tax, title and license. And maybe the $500+ Ally lease finance fee.

Also are you saying your BMW is worth $4500? So you are putting $9500 down? If so, your payment should be well below $300 a month. But really avoid cash down.

#306 ·
yes, the bmw x3 is pretty old and it was a Canadian model.

I am new to lease. why should I avoid cash down? Yes, after equivalent $9500 down. It is 279 for 24 and 349 for 36. My concern is that since I am currently a poor graduate student (got paid little from university), putting some cash down may help bank give a better lease? Or, am I just being stupid?

Thanks

As I only lease the vehicles for my wife, (we can take the business deduction)
I have never understood the math of putting "down money" on a leased car...
all you are doing is making lease payments upfront to get the monthly nut lower...and then you give back the car???!!!
if your going to put money down...buy the **** thing....

but from what I am seeing, with no track record for a brand new model from essentially a brand new marque in the market, the residuals will be set by the brand at least for now...and if they want to move them, they need to bite the bullet a little in the beginning...

Putting money down *can* make sense in limited circumstances when the money factor (the APR) is high on a car. If you put money down then you are not paying interest on what you put down.

But just using the example of $5000 down at 3% APR, you would save $450 over 36 months. (Yes, you could instead invest that $5000 over 3 years and if you made more than 5% return per year you'd come out ahead, after taxes; but that means you need to have a risk appetite for stocks, as opposed to a CD or savings account.)

But if your lease is a business expense (tax write off), then that changes the dynamic.

I've driven Alfa Romeo Giulia a couple of times now.
quadrifoglio in March.
quadrifoglio in August for 40 minutes in winding roads as part of Monterey Car week.
and yesterday, normal Q4 in dealership test drive.

I love the way these things drive.
Plus many of my family have or currently work for FCA. Including my son, at FCA HQs in Auburn Hills, Michigan.

I have not read the previous discussions in this thread/site.

So, first offer from dealer is $3500 due at signing. $392/month, 36 months. 10k. For a Q4. Did not get list of options.

I'd like to work with some more dealerships and see if I can get out of pocket, monthly payment, and a 24 month lease, instead. Any or all of those down from that.

But, is the first offer decent or laughable? MSRP is $43,940
Thanks in advance. I really love these things.

Been trying to get in to a Ti Sport and they all must think I have plenty of money that i'd like to part with. MSRP of $52k is what I am looking for. I guess being in san diego means i have money. Here's the latest offer from a dealer that is so-cal based;

I've got some great news for you! With $0 down we can offer you a $790/mo +tax lease on the Giulia TI (7A2051). This is a 12,000 miles a year for 24 months -- on any typical lease $1000 in down payment affects the monthly payment by about $40 a month.
Funnily, I went to Alfa's own website, configured the car I wanted and the lease on Alfa's own website was $710+ tax. Tired of wasting my time with dealers that want to charge me WAY over alfa's own website. I guess they don't need to sell cars right now. BTW, this isn't the first lease from a dealer around here. The other two lease offers I received were nearly as ridiculous as this one. Wish Glendale alfa had a car i wanted. Sounds like they actually want to sell a car. I can wait but I don't want to. Any suggestions?

#333 ·
I gave the dealer one last chance and they came back with zero down, $650/ plus tax which is another $50. $700 which is about 1.3% of MSRP. These guys are smoking something I am not. Not wasting any more time with alfa victorville (and who thought it was a good idea to open up an alfa dealer in victorville?) What a **** hole that place is. Good luck moving inventory out there :)

#335 ·
I'm still in the same boat, SDdreamer. Even getting a 1.2% deal on a Ti Sport seems like a pipe dream. The dealers who were willing to cut big deals to move inventory ran out of them already, and dealers with them still on the lot are being stubborn. Maybe someone will give in towards the end of the month, or I'll settle for one without the sport package (or just lease a different car entirely).

#336 ·
I'll let you know if I get anywhere. I am striking out, one week in to it now. Maybe trying to buy middle of month is not a good strategy. The problem is, the 2018's are on the way and will be here soon. Bummed out because I'd rather be driving one now and not just talking about it.

Specs for what I'm looking for?
Ti 19" sport package (18" if I have to, but that's a rare option anyway)
sunroof
RWD
black/red interior preferred, black/tan second choice
exterior: not paying for the $2200 red, and not crazy about white, but flexible
safety features, leather package, sound system, performance package all optional

I'm headed by some local dealerships today and will probably swing by the alfa dealer that laughed me out the door last time and offer them a 1.2% deal. The salesman said the car would definitely be gone by labor day, but it's still there according to their website. They haven't sold a single one in 2 weeks, unless they just never update their site, which is equally possible.

#339 ·
I finally made a deal on my giulia ti sport yesterday similar to your specs above but with trofeo white and red interior. Worked out a deal easily with frankie at Alfa San Diego. Check their website as they may have a vehicle close to what you're looking for. Also check out desert Alfa, located in Victorville. They had a nice Vesuvio gray I almost bought, similar to what you want I believe. Josh was the sales guy and offered my zero down, 12/24, at 580/mos plus tax. That was without pushing him very hard. Btw, it took me less than half an hour doing paperwork, etc with Frankie. Quickest car purchase in my life. I'm all in with tax at about 1.1% and happy with the deal.
Thanks everyone on this giant thread for helping guide me to purchase such an awesome car. Can't wait for the Sunday drive after the kids soccer games.

My recommendation for a dealer is Lou Fusz in Illinois. They ship all over the country. I'm in Florida and bought from them, awesome deal, beat any Florida and North Carolina dealers I was talking to.

When I got my car, the carrier also had a Stelvio on the truck he was delivering to a buyer in Naples.

I talked to 7 dealers, 4 were outright terrible, 2 were average but disinterested, and Lou Fusz was fair, willing to deal, and great follow up.
