im not sure if he is. I feel jb4 would be adequate in a pinch but may leave some power on table. And if you go this far wit turbo you might as well get all power you can consistently.
Completely agree, but it may be an option.

JB4 isn't going to be sufficient. There are definitely things in the ecu that need to be changed so you don't get put into limp mode with the increased flow/fuel/torque
 
@kozak JB4 with that hybrid, or do you have an ECM tune?

Kozak has a local tuner. We could buy alientech for $2500 and start making tunes or just use jb4.

The jb4 will work for getting max boost like it does on the audi b9 s4 hybrid turbos but it wont give us direct control of timing so no race files. If @Terry@BMS is willing to do wastegate control it could perhaps help with hybrid turbo control. Terry?

Power is not only compresor side....
Exhaust side is very small. Smaller Than in turbo from vag 1.8tsi....

I also started dig in that topic. I contacted some local hybrid turbo manufacturer company in Poland and they can modify my stock turbo up to GTX2867 Stage 3 I'm curious about this 'X' if there is some change comparing to GT2867:

Stage III Upgrade:
  • journal bearings – so-called ‘360’
  • metalworking of bearing housing
  • metalworking of seal plate
  • metalworking of compressor housing
  • metalworking of turbine housing
  • enlarged turbine wheel
  • enlarged aluminum Custom Compressor Billet Wheel
There is No Space to put such things to our turbo.

I dont know how somebody can call IT stage 3 , if they didnt make stage 1 and tune IT....

Show US real car which is running stage 1,2 ...
Every company making hybrid is telling that turbo is 400+ but nobody seen results ...
I Think i was the first and last who showed dyno from hybrid.

I think Yes. Thats why they put electric compressor to avoid lag. This is my opinion.

Maybe that's where our "plug and play" path could start.

I assume Maserati provides similar amounts of technical information about their cars as Alfa... Research could take a while.

Do you think RS wheels are largest to fit and work properly with our size turbine,?
 
I asked 4 companies, everybody says thst our turbo is for 360/370ps max.
I heard the camshaft Is made to produce huge torque , not huge Power at end.

These are the "stages" they offer for hybird turbos, however from what I understand they need to skip right to 3 to make it work for our cars. I suspect they are doing a custom compressor wheel to make it work
