Thanks - That's interesting. My UK dealer was adamant that there was no SW update scheduled or advised when I had a service last month.
That said, i'm not experiencing any major issues, though the HVAC temp increment (3 turns to increase / reduce by a degree) is mildly annoying, and the stupid MPG slider bar on the cluster that's the wrong way round
(75MPG >>>>>>><<<<<<< 0MPG).
My infotainment is stable, so id like to know more about what the SW update brings, though for now I guess if its not broke, don't fix it.

The link below will show you the problems that the SW update to .055 was meant to address. This did NOT change the direction of the MPG from 75–>0, at least when my car was updated. Here in the US we had a subsequent update to address an Infotainment restart issue that may have been linked to satellite radio (SiriusXM). That took our SW to .059. After that, my MPG was reversed to read 0->75, but I do not think it was actually a result of the Infotainment update. At the same time there were several concurrent SW/firmware updates performed, and I am guessing what fixed the MPG was an update they did on the IPC (instrument panel cluster). It changed several other subtle things regarding the look of the cluster. btw, I think my AC temp control still takes 2-3 clicks to increment the temperature.

I believe you are correct....but along with fixing the MPG screen, we also lost the trip B screen...or at least I did..
I did my own updates and only had the car a few days when I did them so I dont know what else changed, but the MPG was obvious along with the missing trip B

I still have the B trip. Are you sure it didn’t just get turned off in the Infotainment settings?

Well, no bricking of the vehicle, but no success. I'm fairly sure that the PROCSI is just an option list without an actual year value in it. Since I have access to a factory scan tool, with which I can turn on AA in Late 18 + Giulias, I need to find the PROCSI flag that allows the WiTech scan tool to do that. While it may take awhile I'm going to find some 17 and late 18 or 19 to compare procsi lists(vehicles with the exact same options). If the values are exactly the same except for a couple of variables, I'll start there. So if anyone has a late 18 or 19 Q4 Lusso Ti with all the stuff, I'd love to see how the procsi compares to mine. Anyways, keep you posted.

I looked through this. Anyone else spot the line that says "Numbers are larger on the touch screen when dialing."
Didn't know the giulia came with an optional touchscreen
I saw that, too..

I think I read somewhere that it has touch screen outside of the US market ...not 100% sure though

Nope, no touchscreen anywhere. Originally it was planned to have a touchpad on top of the big rotating dial, never happened though.
Early model cars with the 8.8" infotainment have the hardware, the required software was never rolled out though

I wonder what the mfr date cutoff was

From Macgeek earlier :
The rotary controller has never been changed. The only production change related to the controller is that in Dec 2017 they stopped installing controllers with the integrated touchpad (which was never activated), and extended use of the non-touchpad controller to all cars.

Thanks for experimenting. You might be able to find the exact bytes and value to change in PROCSI for AA/ACP activation since you also have wiTech. You can compare PROCSI with MES for before and after AA/ACP acitvation with wiTech. Note the changes. Then you can try to perform activation/deactivation AA/ACP with MES by changing the bytes you noted. These will be valuable info for the community. Thx again! Good luck

So I have the hardware but not the software....it would be great if I could make it work but I dont think it will ever happen
@MacGeek mentioned that the source code that he saw but did not fully understand seemed to have some pieces of the code to make the touchpad work. I inquired regarding how I could gain access to said source code, but did not see a response.

This gives some hope that it might be possible to enable the touchpad if there is one in the car.

I don't believe the activation changes any parameters in the PROCSI iteslf as this is written to multiple units, I think the radio looks at the PROCSI to see if it should allow AA to be activated(if it is in the car's build list, [like it states on the window stickers of some 18's["wired for Android Auto"]). Under the WiTech actuation prompt it states it will allow you to change AA to active if it matches the procsi. So I believe if I can change the procsi that writes to the ETM, it will allow AA to be activated with WiTech. I have a procsi for a no options base 19 I am going to compare to a no options base 17 to see any differences. Again, all input is greatly appreciated!

yeah thats way above my paygrade....I know just enough about software to get myself in trouble...:)

Can we work on turning off the comfort access next to I can stop trying to cut my son's legs off?
There's already a setting for this. We just need to pressure @AlfaRomeoCares to work to make the update available to all. That and the larger backup camera
