Ok, so here is my situation with enabling Race mode on '19 Giulia Q4:
I've bought race mode kit (selector + adaptive suspension computer) from Alfissimo.
Went through all instructions:
  • disconnected the battery
  • swapped the suspension computer (GTAm flavor)
  • replaced DNA selector with DNAR selector
  • reconnected the battery
  • ran PROXI alignment
  • ran accelerometers calibration

Everything worked successfully, but Race mode didn't appear. When I mode selector past D nothing happens. I tried both Type 2 and Type 3. I verified that byte #88 is CC.
What else should I check?

Does anyone know which version of DTCM unit is required? Dealer told me that "gearbox version should be greater than 003". Mine is "0007".

Also did someone successfully installed race mode with GTAm box?

Did you pause long enough when you turned the dial past D? It takes a split second to engage.

yes, was holding it longed than a second.

Also all other changes (A,N,D) can be observed via MES, but when I push the dial in Race nothing changes in MES.
I would redo the PROXI alignment.

How to redo? You mean run it again? I did it several times, but it can try again :)
ok, well, it's up to you, but yes, just run the PROXI alignment procedures again.

is the proxi a success everytime?
Hard to say: I have some issues with MES. I'm sure it's MES because it starts to sporadically timeout even without being connected to the car. Re-plugging USB helps. Tried two different USB adapters, so most likely it's the software issues.

So when MES worked I got good PROXI alignment. When it timed out some modules were left unconfirmed. But they were ok when MES was ok.

Check the manual for COM Port settings, that makes a huge difference in MES's ability to communicate properly.

there’s definitely some tricks to get mes running smoother. unfortunately i dont have an answer for your issue but i can definitely say if youve had a successful proxi then your dtcm is up to date, otherwise you would fail every time for it being out of range.

Ok another PROXI alignment didn't help :(

I've noticed this when scanning modules:

Transmission / CDCM (Chassis Domain Control Module)
UNKNOWN/UNSUPPORTED
ISO Code: 00 52 50 5C 14

Does UNSUPPORTED mean that PROXI actually didn't work?

CDCM is probably the issue, but it's strange that you didn't have a flashing odometer. Usually when there is a module that has no clue what race mode is, the odometer will flash to indicate that there was an issue with the proxi alignment. At least that is my understanding. Try the other type, that may be successful.

i agree that is very strange

would either say proxi success or proxi failed at the end of it. im assuming you have active suspension? did you swap your cdcm to the gtam version?

Ok, so here what else I tried:
I swapped CDCM back to stock (yes, I had GTAm from @Alfissimo ) and performed PROXI again.
It all went fine (displayed SUCCESS on every module and said "Turn off the key" in the end).
I recalibrated the sensors too.
Odometer doesn't flash.

When I perform the scan I get 2 unknown modules:

Dashboard / ETM (Entertainment Telematic Module)
UNKNOWN/UNSUPPORTED

which I assume a DNA selector - now DNA + Race installed
and CDCM - now stock installed.

Also when if I try to autodetect the interface in MES it sets it to ELM at 38400 speed. When I try to perform PROXI it says "Interface to slow, set to ELM (High Speed)". It allows to perform PROXI only after that change (speed is also set to 38400).

When I go to PROXI now it says "The vehicle is properly configured. PROXI not needed." All modules are green and OK.

It seems like a BCM issue at this point :(

I have to say you are doing a pretty damn good job of troubleshooting this. I think at this point you may need to consider bribing your dealership to update your BCM, and or other modules that may need updating in order to support this. That could be spendy, but if that's what you want to do, that is your prerogative.

before last result going to dealer id try putting dynamic selector back to type 1 (no race mode) run another proxi. hopefully successful. now remove your race mode selector and install back your oem one. run another proxi. hopefully success. now install r mode selector. make sure the car allows you to switch your dynamic mode (obviously race wont work yet) now hook mes back up. scan for interfaces then switch it to high speed. switch to type 2. run a proxi. make sure you switch your grey and blue cables quickly when prompted to do so! hopefully success. now try to select race mode, make sure you give a firm twist and hold of the dial. hopefully it works. now swap your cdcm to gtam. run another proxi. hopefully success. now buy alfaobd. hook up your grey cable and run an accelerometer calibration. hopefully success. and youre done. easy as ever…

This i pretty good plan. Although it seems like some steps won't really help because now race selector works for A/N/D, just race mode not active. I'll try to bring all back to stock and run another PROXI
