Thanks 4Foglio for confirming. I have PM the same as you. The discount will change if we fall less than 6 or 7 I forget so can everyone confirm on this thread so we know how many are going forward? I did read some reviews and although I am one who is hesitant to do any mod's this is one that is sort of a no brainer and a lot of "BANG" for the buck versus the exhaust mods. Both is perfect but this will be enough for me and like being able to go back to factory when I choose. Also, local dealer didn't have an issue with an install so I am calling that no issue with warranty which is always my concern

I am in. Just let me know when and where to send my money and info.

I was just thinking the same thing, not that I'm part of the group buy.

Typically, one person collects all the money, pays for the stash, then all the items are sent to that one person who in turns distributes everything. Sometimes the company will ship each item directly to the end user, but not always.

Hello All,

I need to close this group buy. Thanks to all who indicated that want to participate.

If there any future group buys, I ask that one person coordinate all activity including collecting payments. This is not something that I should be doing as I am no longer an official vendor and I believe that my participation is really not part of the rules of the forum.

I am happy to communicate via private message, but I do not believe I should be coordinating this.

Thanks to all

Steve

Steve,

Thanks for you're part in following the desires of the forum Admin. It's appreciated.

I don't have an issue with the car owners / forum members doing a group buy from a non-vendor, as long as the vendor has no influence on it here in the forums. That being said, they will need to have a group leader who communicates with the vendor (in this case, you) outside of the forum, IE email or PM. The group would use the forum as their common group communication center. Emails, phone calls etc. between group members is acceptable as well. That sort of personal info should be kept private though, publishing your phone number or VISA number is not recommended.

So, carry on with the group buy. Decide who will be your group leader, hold the lump of cash and be responsible to re-distribute the paraphernalia.

Thank you for that clarification, Racer Z. I know the others here can appreciate that the rules need to be followed or else the forum could morph into a free-for-all.

Best regards,

Steve

Several question were recently posed to me regarding the exhaust bypass controller:

Q. Does it affect emissions?
A. No

Q. Does the controller affect the power (either improve or degrade)?
A. As the Giula QV and Stelvio QV are turbo-charged and the position of the bypass valves are downstream of the catalytic converters ... opening or closing the bypass valves will have little or no affect on the power of the engine.

Q. What is the difference between the Model B4A and the Model E3?
A. The B4A uses an aluminum enclosure and the B4A will withstand very high temps such as might be found in the engine bay of a Ferrari or Lamborghini. The E3 uses an ABS plastic case and is suitable for lower temp environments such as the trunk (boot) of the Alfa Giulia or Stelvio

Functionally, the B4A allows you choose if you want the exhaust valves open or closed (normal mode) at engine start. The E3 does not give you the choice. With the E3, at engine start, the valves will be closed (normal mode).

Q. What is the difference between the B4 and B4A?
A. The B4 has two connectors for cars with two vacuum solenoid valves. The B4A has only one connector for cars with a single vacuum solenoid valve.

Q. Can the model B3A be upgraded to the B4A?
A. Yes

Q. Is the controller water resistant?
A. No.

Q. Will installation of the controller void the vehicle warranty?
A. No

Steve

Thank you for doing this for us Steve. Sorry but I'm not going to trust someone on here that I do not know to collect money and then expect them to ship the product out to us.
I'd prefer dealing directly with the supplier. Just saying!

In retrospect, I have no problem collecting money and shipping. Just would prefer that, in the future, a different person collect the names and email addresses etc.

Steve

Doesn't that take away from the group buy thing? It is also in conflict with the guidelines I set forth earlier.

How much (money) does cost to be a vendor here? I don't know what the price structure is. Having vendor status would change things considerably.

Hi Racer Z,

I do not believe it is conflict with the guidelines you set forth.

Your guidelines that you stated ... were that a group leader would communicate with me outside of the forum. I would not participate in any group-buy discussion on the forum that the group conducts. My participation would be off the forum only. Once the group has been formed, any business transaction would be also be conducted off the forum. And, I would not, in any way, be an influence on the forum.

Would you not agree that this is following the guidelines you stated earlier?

Steve

OK. Thanks for clearing that up.

Programmed the homelink today. Works spectacular. I love just having to hit the button on the visor and keep the key fob in the center console. As a side note, if u really want the exhaust experience, u really need to be in manual mode. I usually drive in N mode and when in manual with the valves open, it is absolutely glorious.
