Quick question if anyone can answer... ..Im running the v2 intake with a stock exhaust so that's what I put on my tune request..Im going to be putting on a Remus axle back system, should I request another tune or is the change not that big where it really won't matter

I would suggest asking Toby? I suspect he'll want to send you an updated tune once you have the Remus installed.

Went to the dealer today for a two year service. I spoke to the Tune friendly Tech and told him I had the Phase2. He knew not to flash the ECU.? The cost for the oil change and filter, tire rotation and NYS inspection was $194. Not bad. The oil change alone would have been $122.

So I recently flashed P2 and it's been 672 miles, no ECU's of any sort. It's been a thrill to drive, but I haven't really had a chance to push it very hard yet. I opted for all the options (P&B, limiters, traction) and it's been great so far. I am actually able to get P&B with both N and A modes lol. Much harder than D mode but it's possible. The Madness Lusso exhaust seems to pair very well with the V2 intake and the P2 tune. Will update later.

Just give us a heads up when you get the exhaust installed.

I was just about to load my P2 until I saw the issues with CELs. Has it worked without issue for anyone yet? Thinking maybe I should hold off until this gets sorted.
I have loaded phase 2 a number of times going back to dealer for work. First time I flashed was from phase 1 with no issues on first try. Other times I flashed from stock and no issues first time as well.

Can't get EC to reply so I'll post this here.

I have about 900 miles on the P2 tune, and no CELs so far (yay!). But there are two things I think are weird:

1. The pops and bangs feature seems to occur in all 3 DNA modes when I am not tapping on the gas. It happens when I am decelerating while in a lower gear and will keep "popping" constantly as well until I shift to a higher gear or start accelerating again. Is this normal?

2. I have noticed more "power" from the tunes in both P2 in D and P1 in N, but my 0-60 mph time seems to be equal or even slower than my stock 0-60 time. I'm using Dragy to test this. I seem to be getting around 6.8-7.0 seconds for my 0-60. Is this normal as well after the tune (and after 800+ miles)?

Thanks in advance.

@Chris@Eurocompulsion
So I installed the exhaust but am getting mixed signals as to whether or not I need a new tune.... the tune Im running now is the P1/P2 dual map but my understanding is that it was modified since I was running just a V2 with the stock exhaust when I put the tune request in..... should I continue to run this tune or is there another one I should get?

Thanks in advance

@Compromise, I have a bone stock Ti Sport Q4 with only a K&N air filter. Using the Torque app on my phone to determine my 0-60, I was able to hit consistent 5.5 second times. That was with a couple of duffel bags and my wife in the vehicle, 3/4 tank of gas too.

Something is not right with your setup.

1. This was normal for me. Their coding doesn't allow them to give you pops n bangs in only 1 mode so it will be present in all 3. I also used to get the popping whenever I let off the gas above 2k RPM. I got a newer tune file and this seemed to be dulled down, though I preferred the first.

2. If you're running 6.8-7.0 second 0-60s you're doing something very wrong. As mentioned above, stock cars should be running 5.7 (Q2) or 5.4 (Q4) second 0-60. Maybe go back to stock and work on how you're launching until you're in this range and then put the tune back.

Thought it was 5.5 (Q2) and 5.1 (Q4). So anything over 6 is getting into somethings wrong or you're doing something wrong territory.

Consistent launches 101 (IMO FWIW YMMV LOL WTF):
  1. Set DNA selector to D
  2. Turn off Infotainment (long hold on center console small dial)
  3. Turn off AC (Fan speed to 0)
  4. Turn off Auto Start/Stop
  5. Left foot brake (press hard, the brake stand will try to overcome this, obviously)
  6. Press the gas pedal gradually, not necessarily slow but you don't want to get ahead of the load. It's almost like the pedal is being pressed at the same rate or slightly quicker than the rate that the RPMs are rising.
  7. Once you hit 2.5K RPM for Q2/RWD or 3k RPM for Q4, simultaneously let off brake while mashing the gas.
It should pull strong and consistent, no bogging off the line.

Don't linger too long during your brake stand, the vehicle seems to adapt strangely if you sit at a load for too long. It's also hard on components.

My RWD Giulia does not have LSD.. would that matter at all? I've never been able to get <6 s while stock (with just the exhaust upgrade). I'll try more launches today after work. Thanks for the input guys. I might just ask for another tune or something. Here are some screenshots. First is stock at 6.26 and second is P2 with 6.86.

It’s taking you a football fied
Length (300’) to reach 60mph. Normal 2.0 does that in less than 220 usually. You are most likely not launching the vehicle properly. I would think if it was the tune retarding the vehicle that poorly you would notice a lot more than just slow 0-60 times. Maybe keep practicing and then go from there. Or as someone mentioned go back to stock and see what happens.

A hundred degrees.. Two thousand feet altitude... maybe the answer is there?
Look at that DA. That's more than likely the problem.

Time to move.

Would the DA/altitude make that big a difference? I'll probably flash back to stock and remeasure today too. There should be SOME improvement over stock right, even with the DA?

You should see a difference, Apples to Apples (same or similar DA) between OEM and tuned.

I see. So besides the altitude, there might be something wrong with my tune since my original stock launch times were already in the 6's, the new P2 flash should yield some improvement.. I'll wait until someone at EC responds to my email before flashing back to stock.

What fuel are you running? Car could be pulling timing on the aggressive tune.
