Anyone have experience with the TDI tune for a 2.0L? They claim increase to 344 BHP and it's tempting at about $400. Seems a little far fetched.
I just installed one on my 2.0 yesterday. There have been a couple other members here that have one as well. I don't have enough miles to render an opinion yet.

Wow, dodging potholes and running on cold tires up here with the Baby Beast and I wonder what you could possibly do with that extra power? Wait, oh yeah, you said it. Drag racing. :D Ha-ha enjoy and be safe. Let us know how it goes.

I am not much for drag racing, but it'll show the gains. This car is a bit under powered, so anything helps. And honestly, on Conti DWS, it puts down all of the power just fine in these crappy winter conditions from a reasonable roll.

Cool. Keep us posted. I did see some others but at least the ones I found were older 2017 posts.

How much was it including shipping?

$406.24 after currency conversion and they were kind enough to include an end cap as well at no charge. it seems they frequently have a 10% off code. I used the xmas one.

Under powered? Haha, I think I know what you are saying but didn't the Quad have the most Hp of it's class when it came out? It was fastest anyway. I think it has plenty but if you want it to do more, than yes, it's under powered. ;)

Did you actually just call the QV underpowered?

Last I checked, a bone-stock base QV makes more power than the most highly tuned and much more expensive equivalent cars on the market.

In terms of torque, it's on par, if not a level above them all, except for the C63.

Just for reference...

A new Giulia QV could easily be had for under $65k.
Alternatively, the absolute minimum you would ever find a new C63S for is $85k (if that) or an M4 CS at just over $100k.
--That leaves A LOT of room in the budget for other mods and tuning.

My good friend's C43 Cab came with a sticker price of just over $75k and Merc wouldn't even budge on it.

I hope you aren't comparing the Giulia to anything American Muscle, cuz that's a whole different ballgame.

Haha!, That's the spirit. But we all want more power, well some of us. Me? I have not even defintely floored it yet. Not enough room around here and I didn't want to try it on my first long trip down to PA last winter. A good thing because I forgot to get it inspected after purchase and found out late on Easter. :D No ticket thank God.

dang.. apparently I hurt some feelings calling this car under powered. Sorry guys, it is the fastest car ever!
No feelings hurt at all. I would like more power, but I wouldn't call it underpowered. Frankly, I'd probably be satisfied if AR didn't cripple off-the-line performance and boost/HP in the non-race modes. In dynamic mode, getting on it while at-speed in 1st or 2nd feels underpowered indeed!

Yea, that is definitely true. The traction control and power limiting is definitely over active. The other thing that really kills me is the inability to brake boost the car from a roll. The transitional lag is bad so it makes doing stupid stuff on the highway not as good as it could be. Regardless, I didn't buy the car for its power - the driving dynamics are fantastic. If we can make it a bit faster than all the better. hah

Ordered the TDI chip...will post back results.
not a lot of guys modding their Stelvio QV's, nor track prep plans, over on stelvioforums.com :frown2:

interested to see lap times in this truck vs my GT3/GT4/RS...

Not sure what year GT3rs you have but I wouldn’t expect that SQV to come close in lap times. Very capable suv and very fast but GT3rs on a track is on another level. Unless you add some mud or snow lol.

LOL, I know....

2019 RS
2016 GT4
2015 GT3
2010 458
2011 ZR1

I live in Buffalo, so snow and rain (and fog) are constant threat (at least at the Glen)

Will you run with a PCA group there? I've done mid-ohio a few times in my M5 with PCA events, saw all sorts of vehicles out there. But when I took my QV up it happened to be an SCCA PDX event and they explicity disallowed suv's/trucks/etc. Seemed kind of odd.

I think it should be ok with Niagara PCA...it's just a hot-hatch on steroids after all ...should dominate in the rain
Ran with NORPCA and MORPCA at Mid-Ohio the last few years...3 day events...I think I would stick to one of sports cars if I go back this year

I have a zr1, too. High five. How is the GT4? That is one that has always been intriguing to me.

Buffalo is a great city. Loved it there. I’ve worked there many times over the years. Fell in love wit bocce club pizza and of course La Nova since they are family friends Very underrated pizza city. Add Franco’s to that list. I should bring my QV up just to eat at Sinatra’s again lol. Good open highways to open up also. I could imagine some hard driving on the 219 in that SQV down to ellicotville.
