Wassup yall,

Decided to go ahead and create a brand and open a business offering worthwhile, quality products to the Alfa Community, focusing mainly on the 2.0T, but as time goes on will widen my scope a bit. Brand is named Club Alfa Performance

Anyway, recently did some testing upgrading the 25W OEM Xenon bulbs that come in most 2.0 Giulias to 35W bulbs......and OMG the difference is ridiculous. Its almost as if the OEM 25W bulbs were a bad joke.

In my case, these new lights were several times brighter than the OEM ones they replaced. Brighter light, wider and longer throw- just amazingly better in every way. The light these bulbs emit now compete with my Mercedes GLC 300 which has AMAZING lights.

For those with the QV or the 2.0 with the already upgraded 35W system, we offer 6000K / 8000k 35W bulbs to improve your lighting as well w/ 1 year warranty. I've already sold several sets!

As always, I've created a YouTube review and guide on how to DIY change your headlight bulbs! Link to purchase is in the description, happy Holidays and Merry Christmas!!!

Are these bulbs direct replacements for the original 35 watt bulbs in the optional OE headlights? Are these bulbs the same K as the originals?

Damn. I am glad I stumbled on this HID bulb thread before I made a mistake and ordered the 35w D3S bulbs for my Q4 Ti sport. I assumed that I had the high performance bulb package; but I do not. My headlight housing does have the D5S stamping and I checked one of the bulbs and it is the stock Philip 25watt bulb.

I just ordered a pair of Mitsubishi OEM(Phillip) D5S 25watt bulbs off Ebay that are selling for $35 dollars each. I am good with the 25watt HID bulb light output; heck I thought that I had the upgraded 35 watt bulbs already. However, I do drive in an urban area that has plenty of street lights everywhere so road lighting is not an issue for me I suppose. The 35watt upgrade would be good for drivers that use less lighted routes at night.

The good news is that the HID bulbs are easy as hell to change on the Q4 model as the bulb door is easy to reach without moving the wheel or anything. Just pop the two clips and reach in the hole to change the bulbs just like in the video.

I've driven both and the 35w OE upgrade is very noticeable. I'm very happy that I checked that box when I ordered ours in 17.

FWIW: HID bulbs dim over time, so simply replacing old bulbs with new should yield an improvement.
The IIHS found that the 25W headlights produce excessive glare. Putting in a brighter bulb will most likely increase that glare.

I wonder if it is possible to 3D print a replacement for the part that breaks in the headlight adjusters.
