Brake fluid exchange is a good idea. I'd use the spec'd, regular DOT 4 stuff though and also I'd skip that BG oil treatment. I wonder how much that added to the final cost?

The only required maintenance at 20k is a bunch of checks, oil, oil filter, cabin filter. Brake fluid is 2 years. For 30k add air cleaner and spark plugs.

I had the 20,000 mile service done in June at no cost to me.....although it was just an oil change, fluids service and basic checks (plus some needed updates). When it comes time to do the 30,000 mile service I will go to my local chain I've been going to for 25 years. They service a few local Giulias that also bypass the dealership.....becuase they are fast, cheap and do great work. So, I'd expect to pay half or less what the Alfa dealer would charge for the spark plug service.

I will hit 50,000 miles in just over a year. I haven't even looked into what that service will entail......

50k in a little over a year, do you ever sleep? Good luck and let us know of how it holds up.

Just picked up my car (ti sport+performance package) from it's 20k service. Was given a quote of ~$1800 for the 30k service. Anyone have experience with this one from a third party yet? If my only option on this is dealer maintenance for warranty purposes I'm gonna sell this thing and buy something else...I love it but not THAT much.

I understand the sticker shock with the base Giulias. However, if you have a QV, these prices are in line or cheaper with M and Porsche dealer pricing--which are the cars that these compete with in the marketplace.

Even my BMW motorcycle has a $1,800 20k mile service.

You know that is 6 cents per mile or 18 cents if you start saving for it now.

I attached the maintenance schedule for the QV.
It calls for brake fluid change every 2 years with no mileage requirement.
At 20K:
- oil, filter
- cabin air filter
- engine air filter

Everything else are inspection / top-up items

It's also interesting to note that changing the accessory belt at 30K is "recommended". It is a "must" at 4 years.

My guess on the belts we will fall into the “recommended” not the full 4 years for “dusty” or some other climate. Open wallet......

$1800 seems pretty low to me considering your payment on an $80k is most likely $1400/month. If you have $1400 then $1800 shouldn’t be sticker shock. It’s just another cost owning a 500hp twin turbo V-6.
Brakes. Belts. Fuel. Tires. All need servicing eventually and if service cost are an issue then a lease is best option.

The poster that was complaining about the service cost has the 2.0L.

That's a suckers way of thinking about service costs. Can I clean your house? It cost $1 million, so $10k seems appropriate.

The routine service is composed of parts and labor. For a Ti Sport, its 4 spark plugs, some oil, some filters. That's it. Labor should be around $100/hr. There is not 10+ hrs worth of labor in the service. It's a money grab.

that all depends on where you live LMAO...
if your in the Northeast (CT, NY, NJ, MA) find me an authorized dealer who has $100/hr labor rate and I'll go...LOL
moreover EVERY dealer goes by the book rate, that is how they make their $$$ on service, if the book says 2.5 hours for a service they bill flat rate 2.5 hours....even though a good tech is expected to do it in 1hr or 1.5 hrs....OLD STORY...
personally I pay for the peace of mind that while under warranty my car goes back to the dealer, after that I have a solid mechanic that I use, I don't want any BS stories about who worked on the car should an issue arise...like my MODS:grin2:

Actually, I thought that too, but then I read the manual again. The brake fluid is a required change at either 20,000 miles OR 2 years, whichever comes first.

As for labor, the current rate at my Maserati/Alfa dealer is $175.95 per hour.

Services are a whole list of inspections and the following mandatory:

10,000/1 Oil/Filter (1.5 hours)

20,000/2 Oil/Filter, Brake Fluid, Cabin Filter (3 hours)

30,000/3 Oil/Filter, Air Filter, Plugs (3 hours)

40,000/4 Oil/Filter, Belt, Brake Fluid, Cabin Filter (5 hours)

50,000/5 Oil/Filter (1.4 hours)

60,000/6 Oil/Filter, Air Filter, Brake Fluid, Cabin Filter, Plugs (5 hours)

my manual for the 2017 TI says 2 yrs no mileage

Interesting, a different chart than my manual.

Two or three ver of manuals, I have 21k miles in a 1.5 years. I'm 70 and never changed brake fluid in mileage always it was time. I'm going to do mine at 30k which would be near 2 years.

Buy. With the miles I put on the car I expect that a lease would be extremely expensive.
Go work for FCA; unlimited miles on corporate leases.

I was quoted $170 for an oil-change-only 24 month service. $20 more for tire swap/rotation.
