When I demoed my car we had to stop and put gas in it. The dealer put 87 octane in. I bought the car but couldn’t wait to get 93 in the tank. 87 is going to increase the likelihood of these problems.
What a crumb dealer. I never put 87 or 89 in any car or truck. Is it worth saving $2.50 a tank. That’s just and business by salesman.

To everyone that doubted me, here is an article that was published yesterday. https://jalopnik.com/alfa-romeo-giulia-and-stelvio-face-recall-for-loss-of-p-1829389488
I don't have doubts about your problem, but I do have doubts that this is a class Action lawsuit. Other than the problem, what evidence is there? How many accidents and deaths known due to this problem?

What many have said already; I think that you just need to make this a point with Alfa Care and see what they can do, from getting the updates done correctly, all the way up to a replacement.

Recall may be addressing your stall issue. Your inconvenience does not typically warrant a lemon claim for weather stripping and the light. Since this impacts not only my Giulia but most likely all we will need to be checked out we should all of us then be able to return our cars for new ones right? Maybe a different color or different adds that we don’t like or want to add. What a great company Alfa is to let us do that.

Please familiarize yourself with Texas lemon law before you state what does and doesn't warrant a lemon claim. https://www.carlemon.com/state-lemon-law-statutes/texas-lemon-law-rights-consumer-guide.html

It doesn't matter the severity of the issue. In summary there are 3 ways to lemon law a car (in Texas)

1) If you have a significant safety hazard within the first 12 months or 12,000 miles. (my brakes went out at 11 months 14,232 miles)
2) If you have the same issue 4 times within 24 months or 24,000 miles. (Replaced my tweeter 5 times and headlights 3 times)
3) if your car has been in service more than 30 days within 24 months or 24,000 miles (mine has spent 58 days and counting)

So now please tell me that my car doesn't warrant a lemon claim.

Why do you even respond or entertain anyone’s comments at this point? You’re gonna do what you want to do and that’s absolutely your business. God bless. So why even get into it with people at this point? Go do your lawsuit and be humble.

Hey Pradeep. Thanks for the link. You may need to reread that:

The law does not cover vehicles with:
problems caused by the owner’s abuse, neglect or unauthorized changes to the vehicle,
parts or components not authorized or installed by the manufacturer, (Mods presents a problem whether folks think so or not)

This is the best one:
or problems that do not substantially affect the use or market value of the vehicle. Minor rattles or stereo problems are usually not considered serious under the Lemon Law.

Oh those speaker issues. Nah, not typically considered according to your own state. Weather stripping NAH, headlamps well you need those but they fixed them and I am thinking they fixed your brake problem so when you file with Texas DMV good luck but I am sure you will make up some more stuff. It will fail because as long as the stall is finally fixed.

If they gave you a rental then those days may not count.

If you think you have a case and are smarter then AR and FCA good luck. Maybe they will lemon the car with your 1.7 years of depreciation. They can resell it. Sounds like with the headlamps you are costing them money anyway.

I'm having trouble with the productivity of this thread. How is this thread productive?
It's not. It's purely attention seeking. If the OP were serious about a Class Action, soliciting members on an enthusiasts forum, and even worse, engaging in debate, is about the worst thing he could do. Any lawyer worth their salt, would immediately tell the OP to shut his trap and stay off the forums. Anyone serious in a suit, would use public information, obtain registered Giulia owners, and send out a mailing. This thread is just attention whoring IMHO.

First, I do not put 87 in my Stelvio, but my owners manual clearly states 87 is permitted. Now before anyone goes off on my comment, again, I do not put 87 in my Stelvio. I would think a dealer would just be doing what a manual is stating? and, to them, saving a few dollars with their stock during fuel times.

Permitted, but not recommended. Basically, if a person is in a pinch and there is not a better choice, the lesser grade fuel will get you back on the road and to another station with better selections. Even my wife runs 91 in her Fiat 500 (recommended).

Im just getting started with this and fully intend to follow through with lemon law at the very least.

The problems for all of us are far from one.

Between Motortrend’s naming the car #1 to one year later after testing rating it F- the value diminished by over 30%. This demise along should be enough to prove a case.

There report outlines not only the cars issues but the fact that there is no qualified techs at any dealers which are few, the car was in the shop 80 days out of one year if I remember correctly, the parts take forever to get and they struggle to even figure out the issues.

This is my experience verbatim.

When did Motor Trend rate it an F-? Here's the follow up to the original CotY award, and their assessment is still brilliant:

Good luck with your one-off lawsuit, though. All brands have lemons, and you were one of the unlucky ones. Yes, having a low volume exotic Italian car is going to make that all the more painful.
