I just bought used 2017 Ti sport, and drove it 900 miles home. No issues to speak of. I get home, showing it off to a buddy, under hard acceleration, I get a check engine light with "Service electronic throttle control' and 'stop/start disables' lights in the dash. I check the code, and it is a P2099 code. I cleared the code, and the check engine light and electric throttle control warning went away, but the auto stop/start light stayed on. I then disconnected the battery for 15 mins, started it (doing the wheel reset procedure) and the auto stop/start light went away. Drove it hard again, just for all three lights to come back on, and back into limp mode.
I was reading up on the P0299 (edited from P2099, oops) code (underboost) and I just keep hearing new turbo. Maybe im in denial about my new car, but I really don't think I should need to replace my turbo. My car just broke 40k miles, drove 900 miles with no lights, then just decides to throw this on me.
Sorry for the wordy post, any suggestions? I'd like to stay away from a dealer if possible
