Any solution for the P0039 error with JB4 or any other tune? Any advice/help would be appreciated .

It has to do with specified (request) vs actual boost.

Piggybacks tell the ecu its making less boost (actual) than the ecu is requesting. This allows the ecu to automatically request more boost until it thinks its making what it should be. Thats how you get more boost - power.

There's a few things that come into play with this..

1. If you give too much of a spoofed signal it can trigger an underboost limp mode and dtc. The ecu thinks its making way too little boost and throws a fault. Map 1 should never do this. Map 2 is 99.9% map 3 is only ok for some.
2. If you had a bpv, turbocharger, or wastegate issue your car may make less boost anyways. You may not know the issue is there in the beginning stages of problems with these components because the car allows for quite a bit of underboost. That way the people living at 8000feet arent throwing underboost faults all the time. The problem is if you add a piggyback to a car that already has an issue making boost you are underboosting even more and more likely to throw a fault.

@bhvrdr good info about the bpv. My car has thrown several cel since JB4. Even with firmware 5 on map 2. I'm now running map 1 and hoping all is well. I've done tons of dragy runs on map 3 and 2 without issue, but driving into work randomly it threw the code. Would doing the dv+ resolve it? Or would I need a new oem since part of it is used for the dv+?

Update..
Installed the forge re-circulating kit. Install instructions are not exactly the same, maybe because of minor engine/fuel changes that Alfa made in 2018 or maybe 2019, mine is a 2020. So my MAP sensor on the driver's side inlet is on the inside of the inlet, right under the air filter box, it was not possible to install the vacuum block in this location. I installed it on the passenger side, along with the sensor on the charge cooler. The two valves in the bottom were installed at an angle, compared to the install instructions, the bottom screw was almost facing the front of the car, with no way to see the screw from the top. To get that last screw opened, I had to use a flex socket extension and alot of guessing to get it opened (most amount of time was spent on this one screw). The valve screws were T30 torx, not socket style.
I installed the valve with the yellow springs, used many zip ties in addition to what was sent by forge..
First test drive
Kept getting P00C3 error with WOT, everything was connected properly.. Disconnected JB4, drove in grandpa mode for 100 plus miles, error went away. Tested WOT and down shifting with the transmission in auto mode, no errors..
Tested WOT and down shifting with the transmission in manual mode, got the P0039 error.
Changed the forge valve springs to blue, test drove for 50 miles with JB4 MAP 1, no errors with the transmission mode in manual or auto ... Will drive another 150 miles today to confirm .. I think the issue is fixed, but lets see ..
