I have discovered a leak where the turbo attaches to the manifold. the gasket appears to be bad, and the boost is all leaking out of a 1/8 inch gap where the turbo attaches to the manifold. I'm getting looks like I have 3 heads when I ask local mechanics to look at it, they say "take it to a dealer". the nearest dealer is 200 miles away...any thoughts other than "consume mass quantities!"

Can you post an image?
Can you hear loud wooshing noises?
Can you wiggle it?
CEL illuminated?

You mean the exhaust manifold? Or the long pipe that connects the turbo output to the intake manifold?

thanks for replying. its where it attaches to the exhaust manifold. no cel, no loud whooshing sound, rather its a loud engine noise and I can see where the turbo has come off the manifold. there is nothing to wiggle, the turbo unit has separated about 2mm from the exhaust manifold.

They sure don't look like the beautiful NORD or Busso engines from the years past.

I did pull off the heat shield, the place where the separation is is very hard to reach, it seems like all the turbo plumbing needs to come off, A/C tubing, and the turbo unit to fit in a new gasket. Nomad is my after-market warranty, they should cover this, but...with insurance, one never knows.

Hopefully the extended warranty will cover it. Please let us know.
