My Wife and I would be thrilled to have size of the time changed to something larger than a disclaimer. Both being of Italian decent, we realize that in Italy, the time of day doesn’t matter. It’s the lunch, coffee, cigarette breaks that do.

I don't believe the activation changes any parameters in the PROCSI iteslf as this is written to multiple units, I think the radio looks at the PROCSI to see if it should allow AA to be activated(if it is in the car's build list, [like it states on the window stickers of some 18's["wired for Android Auto"]). Under the WiTech actuation prompt it states it will allow you to change AA to active if it matches the procsi. So I believe if I can change the procsi that writes to the ETM, it will allow AA to be activated with WiTech. I have a procsi for a no options base 19 I am going to compare to a no options base 17 to see any differences. Again, all input is greatly appreciated!
Send me a message, if you need my proxi config and options list (eu-spec veloce).

@MacGeek mentioned that the source code that he saw but did not fully understand seemed to have some pieces of the code to make the touchpad work. I inquired regarding how I could gain access to said source code, but did not see a response.

This gives some hope that it might be possible to enable the touchpad if there is one in the car.
In MES there are some functions for the touchpad, however, without a driver, there's not much chance of it working...

I was expecting (and hoping for) such a comment from you :)

On topic:
I've just tried it - without success.
To begin with; my car had "A3" and not "A7" at byte 74.
After changing it to "AB" and executing the proxi-alignment the menu option did indeed show up.
However - every time I changed the option to "On", it would default to "Off" again after a few seconds.
All of that while the easy entry was still working (as before).

So in summary: functionality was unchanged, but I enabled a useless option :)

I'm in the process of returning everything back to normal right now.
two questions:
1.What infotainment firmware version do you have in your car? This feature first time was introduced in cars manufactured with MV072.xxx.xxx firmware (~may 2018 production), if you have earlier, then maybe there is provision only but feature had bug or was not fully implemented and so it was disabled by manufacturer?
2.Did you try to power down your car for longer to allow full reset - mean like radio on quick power down only sleeps, you can recognize full power down/restart by seeing AR logo all safety messages on infotainment screen etc.

FYI, in my April 2018 Veloce Q4 I had also xA3 at byte 74 and changed it to xAB and it works OK. The thing though is that although my car come out of factory with firmware 059.xxx.xxx I got radio replaced this year due to issues with Android Auto, resets of bookmark radio stations, glitches on rear camera etc, so got brand new unit with firmware 080.xxx.xxx, and in may I got firmware upgrade to 085.xxx.xxx, so have latest I'm aware of for today for 2nd generation hardware radios.

I'm on 85 now

I did wait a few minutes - but maybe not long enough.

Good to hear though, that it did work for you! I'm more concerned with adding AA/ACP. I actually like the easy entry and have no problem with it.

For AA/ACP you need dual USB hub in your armrest, and as far I know one person lucked to activate it, though through MES it did not work when he tried (do not know what bits he changed in proxi, but he was in direct contact with Yani, MES author and failed), and eventually he got to dealer he knows well, and set the option in ETM (radio) module to actvate AA/ACP and that works. I know also guys who did the same, and did not lucked (though he has 2017 car, originally he had 1st gen radio, then he got it replaced due to issues for 2nd gen, then he added dual slot USB and tried with dealer, though no luck) - maybe 2nd guy lacks some proxi settings? In case of 2nd guy, dealer tried to enable AA/CP, but it was self-reverting immediatelly to disabled. As far as I heard, currently for EMEA cars FCA blocked possibility of adding AA?CP sales code to database - that was way to set all proxi the right way and so later it was possible to activate AA/CP in deler as ETM setting.

I got AA working on a 17! I found the Procsi values. I'll do a quick write up on how to do it, give me the weekend to get it done. You will have to visit a dealer to enable the radio though, and it must be the first time the AA enable has been attempted. You also have to have the new hardware.
looking forward for more news for my friend. only one question, how you know it must be first time attempted? my friend tried in dealership a few times but setting was not remembered, do you think he could locked something? if so any way to unlock?

The guy that does it in the ETMs uses a programmer of these

I wish I know how to use this. it could be a very good investment. You can start buying used ETMs on eBay and reset them. Resell them with a markup. Break even after just one ETM.?

just an attempt
If witech activation say " aa/acp ON " is " ON " forever
If say " aa/acp OFF " is " OFF " forever
Only FCA can reset ETM to try again activation
This is correct, as I have discovered. I believe if you go the setting and it says AA OFF you may be able to cancel before it writes it to the ETM, however I am not 100% sure. I know if you complete the prompts, it is locked forever. I will post the procsi to change, if someone can confirm that this allows it to be set to on I will do a complete write up. I actually got a new unit, Procsi'd it to the original car(2017), to write the VIN. Then I went to an 18 and reprocsi'd the unit, then set AA to ON successfully. I found if I went back to the 2017 it worked with AA before I procsi'd it back to the 2017. The odometer flashed though. I re-procsi'd it to the 2017 to stop the odometer flash and it turned off AA in the ETM! Interestingly the AA was set to on permanently in the ETM despite the vehicle procsi turning off AA. This is when I found the procsi flags to allow it to work. I will list them below.
