It is not a glitch, radar simply can not operate when it is obstructed with slush and snow....it is normal operation, sometimes even torrential rain can switch it off.....I noticed it goes off also in tight tunnels

CX 5 is considerably taller vehicle and radar is probably even higher...enginering flaw? how is something covered by snow supposed to operate? How would you engineer it better? Yes you can allways put radar sensor higher to be less exposed to element from the road but on cars like Giulia you are really limited with where you can place radar....

The biggest design flaw with the FCW system is that disabling it doesn't persist across engine restarts. Annoying.
Most likely not a design flaw either but deliberate design so you can have the 5 star crash worthiness mark as it was obtained with FCW on.....most of the annoying things on cars today are consequence of some silly regulation not unthoughtful engineering
