Exhaust mod on a Lease (has to be reversible) ?

My 2018 Giulia Ti Sport AWD is a LEASE and any mods I make I have to be able to undo before I turn the car in.

I love everything about the car except the outside exhaust note. The stock exhaust sound is way too quiet for my taste. I searched the forum and saw suggestions to just delete the muffler and save it to re-weld later.

Was wondering if there are any other options ?? A cat back or axle back that can be removed without too much hassle and stock replaced ?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions...

Tony

I put a Remus axle-back exhaust on my lease Ti Sport, a direct, bolt-on replacement. The shop billed me 1hr labor, and I put the factory axle-back part in my garage for re-installation later. Sound is improved, but still civilized, refined.

All of the replacement exhausts commonly available are direct fits which are fully reversible by simply loosening some bits and bolts, so whether you go with a Centerline Corsa, Madness Lusso, Ragazzon or Remus, axle-back or full cat-back, you'll be able to return to stock without problem.

I really like the REMUS axleback. Sounds better but not too loud and no drone. Easy to install and return to stock.

Is that the simple Remus “Axel Back” system we’re talking about here, with just their modified less restrictive box, using the stock tips that come with the car? Or is it something with more elaborate with a “Cat Back” midsection resonator as well?

FYI we have had many of our exhaust systems installed by dealers. The average is for them to charge 1 to 1.5 hours of labor to install a full exhaust on any Giulia with the 2.0T, so it is not a very involved install. You could figure on the same amount of labor to reinstall the factory exhaust at the end of the lease.

Thanks everyone... went with the Corsa system..

Thanks everyone for the feedback. Hadn't realized that the Remus and Centerline Corsa exhausts were basically "bolt on".. good to hear!

From the reviews I've read it appears that the Remus and Corsa are both excellent systems. Was a toss up as to which system I might prefer. I decided to go with the Centerline Corsa Catback from Eurocompulsion. Already have EC's P1 tune, so figured they are a good match. I just ordered it. Can't wait to get it installed.

Appreciate the recommendations and information. This forum has really been valuable since getting my Giulia.. terrific group of helpful enthusiasts here.

How much did this cost?

I'm having trouble finding it, could you drop a link to where you got it?

There is no cutting needed to change the exhaust, as there are two points where you can remove and install different pipes. One slip joint in the middle, just behind the small resonator, and (I believe) another after the cats.

Thanks so much for posting this!

This is exactly where I want to be for tailpipe sound for my '19 Giulia when it arrives in 5 months. It will be my first modification. Sounds just right for most daily drivers. Makes me wonder why Alfa doesn't offer a "sports" exhaust option on their special order build sheets, or just pair a similar "less restrictive open baffle" type axle back muffler with their sports packages?

I had the axle back remus, found it wasn't quite the sound i wanted. still very quiet. I added in the mid-section and it is absolutely perfect now...and its definitely got a bit more power and better throttle response. Everything is easy bolt on, stock system can be installed in about an hour.
