Hi guys,
Just want to gather more info on what is really required to activate the option to disable Easy Exit. From my understanding the bare minimum requirement is having the 2nd gen ETM with firmware 072.xxx.xxx and above installed. However, from what i can gather on this forum @ratix is the only person able to activate Easy Exit with just a procsi change only on a car that did not come with it from the factory. I am not sure if he is leaving out some other info, like maybe he also had to change a new Seat Module. No one else i can see successfully activate this feature by just changing the procsi.

@ratix
EMEA 2016 MY. Original Byte 74 was A7, he changed to AB and Easy Exit works

@stocki
EMEA not sure what year is your car. Your Original Byte 74 was A3, Changing to AB did not work for you. Easy Exit menu appears in infotainment. But it will not stay in the Off position. Automatically toggle back to On

My car
NFATA 2017 MY. Original Byte 74 was A2, I changed to AB and also AA. neither works. Easy Exit menu appears. But behaves a little different compared to @stocki, I can toggle the option ON and Off and they will stay at the set position on the infotainment. However, the seats still slides back on exit. I am on 085.xxx.xxx firmware

@JohnnyTheBeast mention he had to change the seat module to get it to work. I think the module you mention looks like picture below.

So I am trying to gather as much info as possible to see what exactly is required to activate Easy Exit.
Maybe we can start by asking members here with option to disable Easy Exit from factory to look at their Procsi Byte 74 and report what the code is with MY and region as well?

Thanks

Thanks for the effort, please keep us updated.

When you look for CSWM, make sure you select the proper one for your options.
Check your current part number and select the updated version based on that.

These are the pairs:
Old New
50537138 - 50557149
50537139 - 50557150
50537140 - 50557151

There already a few people with CSWM 9.0, remote start, menu already appears, but Auto-on Comfort doesn't work for them. According to our current understanding, new HVAC is needed, hope you can prove it.

Hi guys, have to recover this old thread due to my issue with Easy Entry option. My US Giulia has this option at infotainment but it doesn’t work at all. Doesn’t matter if it enabled or disabled. Car’s production date is 07/18, it has latest radio firmware 90xxxxx. Recently car’s region was changed from US to Europe, on US region car this issue was too. During the region changing also was Seat Calibration function done, but got nothing, the driver’s seat doesn’t move((

Yep I know about that condition and I've tried to place the driver's seat in to closest position to the wheel but still nothing (((

Hm, I thought a mid. 18’s year production models should have the proper module especially when this option is enabled in the infotainment system from the factory 😬

yes-yes, I've tried to understand where do I need to find this info exactly, at Body module or somewhere else?

#191 ·
I’m a man with both left hands for screwdrivers or any other tools so for me it’s much easier to check this number via the MES, just need to know what module do i need to check 😬

Strongly appreciate your help. Will get back with this question once get back to Kyiv and reach my car again, decided to leave with my family the capital prior the Independent Day holiday for safety reasons

Ciao se l'auto è americana dopo aver messo Europa devi togliere dei riduttori dalle guide del sedilere e poi fare la calibrazione del sedile.

Hi.

I've been following this thread for a while and ended up purchasing the CSWM of Ebay from a 2019 car with 9.00 for my 2018 Giulia (made 07/17). I made sure I got the correct part per the info above: 71390 -> 71500

I am using AlfaOBD as I don't have an Apple device. I was able to enable the Easy Exit option and it actually works to disable it.

However the odometer flashes and it seems to think there's an incorrect module installed even after proxy alignment.

I don't see CSWM calibration in AlfaOBD.
Ant thought on how to fix this issue?

Thanks.

Hi, does anyone have a photo or a proxy file of an American or Canadian Giulia my20/21/22, or in any case with Remote Start to read the driver comfort menu byte?
or do you know the configuration of bytes 78 and 148 for driver climate comfort on an ETM my20?
I had enabled everything on the ETM my19 and I had it on the display now comfort works with my20 but I no longer have the menu.
thank you

Tried the easy entry/exit disable in byte 74 today. Yes, seat movement was disabled (late 2018 build, SW 9.0 in CSWM) but no menu showed up in display. My car doesn't have nav and entertainment software is .059. Can't update that so I'm out of luck to ever get menu. Oh well.

To tell the truth, I don't know. All of the other threads that mention entertainment software versions appear to be discussing systems with navigation, which I don't have. In my ignorance I tried to get Walnut Creek Alfa to update the software and they said it is not possible. Since I have never seen any reference in the forum to my version of the software, I think they are correct and the non-nav system with the 8.8" screen has no updates. Software version existing is 059.000.002.

It doesn't matter if you have navigation or not. There are several versions of ETM, but all take the same software. The actual functions are set by procsi and internal variables. Basically you always flash the full software, than the system decides which lines of codes or parameters are used.

If you have MV059.000.002, that means that this a Gen2 ETM and that has two updates available (MV085 and MV090) both should have the easy entry menu. It is updated with a USB stick. Please do your research before updating as according to the service bulletin, several other modules need to be updated as well and those can only be done by the dealer. If you don't do those, you can run into incompatiblity issues (I don't recall anyone actually reporting it), so proceed with caution on your own risk.

Very interesting and informative, thanks. I've read the update threads many times and even created a USB stick but got cold feet regarding the other modules needing updating. I guess I could try it and if all that updating is required I could go back to the old software version.
