Now that my 2018 is salvaged, I pick up my new car from Santa Monica today.

Salesman was hardly stellar. I will leave it at that. But I don't give a shit. I love the car. It was the last Etna red outside one that I didn't want. Driving home was a joy.

There is some moisture in the rear tail lights. View attachment 176348
This car had been sitting underground for a year.

replace the battery, lol. You can use EFB or AGM.

I can’t second that enough.
My 23 has been perfect for 14,000 miles except for initial battery issues because the original one was junk, having sat on a showroom floor for months and was charged and ‘tested’ before shipping to me and failed within three or four days.
Interstate AGM and the occasional CTEC charge including two weeks while I was in Italy, car has been flawless.

Big nope on that. I have clear PPF on my headlights, ceramic coat everywhere on top of that (coated rears). I could not afford PPF on full car but did front bumper, hood ,roof, trunk liftover ,side skirts and behind rear wheels.

Yeah...I took the subwoofer box and amp out of my old car. This stereo sounds better than my 2018. I suspect it's the thicker glass and I think they put a little more insulation behind the speakers.

All I did on the old car is add a JL Audio CS110TG-TW3 ,
AudioControl LC2i PRO, and

JL Audio RD500/1.

I had the installer run the subwoofer volume knob right up to where it's next to my right knee. I didn't set the sub crossover point too low. Where the system needs a little help is not just bass but mid-bass, and the vocals improved by taking some time to get that and phase correct.

All my music is on an Ipod Touch. Now that I've decided to really keep this car, maybe I'll go the the audio forum here and dial it in. We are a Focal home audio dealer, and they are always eager to help me get the hook up.

Truth is, simply adding the sub makes it not too bad. I got even better results by using an app called EQu on the Ipod. It allows amazing EQ flexibility. But it controls the music, so you can't skip forward to the next song using the car controls.
