I need a corrective experience after a minor fender bender turned into totaling my car. Now I'm looking for an Etna red new or near new Giulia, but found a brand new Stelvio for $20k off.

We're going to drive it in the morning. This is just a daily for driving joy, and my Giulia is the most emotionally satisfying car I've ever owned. I have a 997.2 GT3 for mountain driving and a 2016 911 GTS4 for going to town on occasion.

Any input?

I test drove a Stelvio before bought my Giulia. I really like it. More room to haul my family, more comfortable, and 4wd feels more secured on the road. But I love the ride height and sitting position on Giulia, besides I love the look of Giulia more. Giulia is the best looking sedan amount any current production cars, period. To be honest, I'd get both if I can afford them both.

2.0l models for my Giulia and Stelvio, but I much prefer to drive the Giulia. It feels quicker and more nimble and the seating position is much better. If you need an SUV, the Stelvio is great for road trips and grocery runs. Passenger room is really no different between the two.

I never warmed to the Stelvio. My wife is on her second Grand Cherokee after two Stelvios. She's happier with the Grand Cherokee, and so am I. The Giulia is more comfortable (at least for the driver) and drives better.

What climate are you in? Do you need AWD or ground clearance? Do you live near mountains? Do ski trips? Camping? Or are you just taking it around typical suburban commuter routes and no winters. The sQV adds weight and increases the center of gravity which to me was a big difference. That said, it’s my favorite of the SUVs I liked it better than the Macan.

if you need the AWD, ground clearance, or trunk space, get the stelvio quad. If you don’t.. get the Giulia it’s just more fun to drive.
Killer garage lineup though

Congrats! Pics?

You made the right choice, though the stelvio is cool in its own right, with the confidence of AWD for hooning. The AWD also makes it a beast to launch from a dig with quicker 0-60 times. Long term, the Giulia QVs seem to hold better value though, as enthusiasts tend to gravitate towards sport sedans.
