Accessory Drive Belt replacement for 2.0t- necessary every 4 years?

I searched and couldn't find anything conclusive.

In the 2017-19 service manuals, it says every 4 years.

For the years after, it says every 15 years or 150k miles.

That's quite a difference.

I'm guessing nothing actually changed and the early manuals are not correct?

The belt part number has not changed so your assumption would be a safe bet.

Edit... I don't actualy think the service information was wrong I just think that they misjudged the interval and wanted to err on the side of caution... now that they have more data they can see that the belts are lasting much longer than they had anticipated so they updated the service interval.

My 2022 Owner's Manual still has the 36,000 mile recommendation/4 year requirement. But it sure seems like some kind of misprint, because it specifies halving the interval in dusty environments. Makes no sense for a serpentine drive belt. Might make sense for some other part.

Never mind, that was for the 2.9, the 2.0 is indeed now 150k with 10k inspections, which makes sense. Basically replace as needed.

It says inspect every 10k miles. So replace when the condition warrants, but not longer than 150k miles. It does not say to ignore until 150k miles.
