Hi fellow Giulia users.

Since I'm new and green like clover leaf to both this forum and to Alfa ROmeo as well as technically total Lame I'm reaching out in order to get some help and/or guidance from experienced Alfa users.
I have a 2017 Giulia QV from the US market.
The car was originally equipped with sport seats with heating, memory as well as heated steering wheel. In short CSWM.
Despite many disadvantages I kept dreaming about Sparco seats and when I finally managed to get hold of a pair my delight was short lived.
Right after installing them my problems started.

I can't seem to identify the root cause of the erros below resulting in permanent Airbag fault and seatbelt warning light accompanied with a constant chime.

B0050-11 Driver's seat belt switch - Short circuit to ground
B00B5-13 Driver seat track position sensor - Open circuit
B00C5-13 Passanger seat track position sensor - Open circuit

I've replaces driver's seat bucke with two other buckles in total and this made no difference the reason for short to ground is not a bucke fault it mus be something else I just don't know what it might be.

In a quest to deactivate seat track sensors as I no longer have CSWM module I tried to zero out bit 6-7 in byte 84 but Proxi failes Airbag Node (NAB/ORC) Failed - request out of range error [102A]

Since those Sparcos are from the EMEA market and car is US Spec I'm wondering if the pinout of the Sparcos for both market differs?
Here are the pictures of my driver and passenger connectors underneeth the seats.

Has anyone had similar problem and managed to solve it?
Any help, advise, lead where to look much appreciated.

Best Regards
Marcin

The greatest help at this stage I could wish for would be if anyone with early QV equipped with Sparco seats for the United States market could let me know the value of Byte 84 they are seing in Proxi + picture of pinout of those seats connectors (driver and passenger)

i retrofitted sparcos in my giulia but that is through putting a comfort seat harness into the sparco seat so that the CSWM still stays attached plugged in and no errors or flashing odometer, my stelvio has sparcos from factory but im not sure i can access the proxi settings since i dont have cables

So if Sparcos don't come equipped with seat track position sensors and comfort seat module it means they are not necessary for the airbag system to operate.
Has anyone managed to make this conversion work other way then fitting sensors and wires but coding it out in e.g using MES?

Hi, Yes I desperately need it.

As proven in the thread below this should be a PnP swap only needing Proxi alignment but it's not in my case

(3) Carbon Sparco Seat Swap w QV Comfort Seats | Alfa Romeo Giulia Forum

In order to identify where the problem might be Pinout of seat connectors as well as Proxi table off of the car with factory installed Sparcos would be super useful.
I'd be over the moon if someone could take those 2 pics and perhaps a proxi table.

Thank You very very much.
This pretty much explains all the differences between NAFTA and EMEA Sparcos.
The question remains the mounting interface between the seat position sensor and the seat rail.

It's the last missing puzzle here.

I did buy both US market under seat harnesses L+R and seat frames off of the comfort seats. It will however take some time before this gets delivered (I'm based in Europe)
When I complete the task and make them work I will report here so that next person attempting this has a much easier life then me.

ok. to add some information because this thread interest me.

i have a my2018 giulia, originally came with comfort seats, i got my hand brand new sports seats, from italy, MY24 so should be EU specs, but i got some issues when putting them in the car:

lost easy entry and seat memories. plus when my passenger seat and buckle up it chimes and i have the instrument led that light up, and not if she remove the belt.

i tried to find information and it looked like the seats are equipped like US specs. i think reading your thread that the best course of action would be to uncover the harness below to see which pins are seatbelt on both EU and US specs for passengers and driver side.

i don’t have my giulia for 2 weeks, but after that i can have a look.

Ok so I've managed to finish the passenger side today.
Seat buckle are pin 15 green wire and pin 16 white wire. Their color and location are 100% identical in both US and EU Spec.
In case of the passenger seat the only difference between EU and US Sparcos is the presence of crash sensors mounted to the seat rail.
These are pin 20 orange wire and pin 21 black/pink wire

I've reproduce the original mounts

Wired the sensor harness into the main seat harness

These are the sensor pins 20 and 21 missing in EU Spec Sparcos

and voila, that is the passenger seat done
Now I'll be attempting to tackle driver's side with intention to add the CSWM module which should allow me to keep the steering wheel heating.
More to come...

happy for you that you could get this but this is looking strange on my side. that does not explain why my seat buckle is not seen as it should 😭
