On the recommendation of MDriver on here I took my car to Enthusiast Details NYC in Mamaroneck NY. I got a full front XPEL ppf along with mirrors, rockers, A+B pillars, rear lower wheel opening, door handle cups and rear trunk bumper opening lip. Also I had the entire car, wheels and calipers coated with cQuartz professional inclunding paint correction. Overall they were one of the more reasonable quotes I got and the work they did was fantastic. They removed badges and vents where they could and wrapped the edges and you can’t even tell the front of the car is even wrapped. The cQuartz really does give everything a nice gloss and should make cleaning things much better. I asked Fatian, nice guy who runs the place, for some photos through the process to share with the forum here:

I had mine done (full wrap) in Boston. Now I am not afraid to drive it in the winter or at the track......

How much does cQuartz cost?

Thanks
Not much compared to the cost of the full wrap, actually my detailer threw it in at no cost since I committed to the full eXpel wrap......
Jerry's experience may be different.....

For the whole car, including paint correction, and wheels and calipers it came out to $1200.

This is for cQuartz Pro
Thanks.

Not sure if you tinted your windows or if you plan to, I had mine done at Infinite Tint in New Rochelle.

The tint looks good. Is it me or does the Guilia have darker than average windows stock?
Surprisingly the tint was done at 50%, which is considered very, very light.

That photo makes it look much darker than it really is.

Hey Jerry

I don't get what you mean by A+B pillars and door handle cups. Door handle cups is to eliminate fingernail scratches, right? The pillars I don't get. Where was it installed exactly?

Looks nice. I'm getting the same color. Thanks!

Basically the body color painted A pillar on either side of the windshield and the gloss black trim between the front and rear door windows. The black trim is pretty much what you instinctively grab when you open and close the front door and is easy to scratch being gloss black.

I really love the comp red. It varies incredibly, much more than I expected, depending on the light. In poor light it looks maroon/burgundy. On overcast days it looks like a deep red. In golden hour sunlight it looks like blazing bright red. I picked up a Daytona floor jack at Harbor Freight today and when I walked out I had to take a photo of the car in the lot because it was glowing. Later I saw the moon over my car at dusk, while picking up a dirty water dog at my favorite truck near Bronxville, and couldn’t believe it was the same color like 40 minutes later...

Hi Jerry

You said it was $1200 for the Xpel and ceramic coating? That did not include window tint or did it?

Thanks!

Well **** I thought I would use your quote to grind on my installer!!!!
The thing about the paint prep and xpel install isn’t so much the material cost, not that it costs nothing mind you, you are paying for lot of labor. My car was at the detailer for three days. For all that work I can’t see spending much less than $2500 almost anywhere and if it’s a lot lower then they are giving away their labor. If they give it away it isn’t worth much...

I didn’t get my rear spoiler xpeled but after having it a while now I think I might have done so. I notice when I close the trunk, if I don’t think about it, I tend to pull the trunk down from the spoiler. I’ve been trying to retrain myself to just grab from the inside handholds and avoid touching the outside at all but it isn’t a terrible idea to do the spoiler if you ask me.

I just worked out a deal with my installer Xact Window Tinting in Ontario California. https://www.xactwindowtinting.com/

He's worked on my Porsche 911, my F430 Ferrari, and all my other cars and he does a great job. I'm getting the best Xpel full front with hood, mirrors, rockers panels, along with the trunk lip area, B pillar, etc etc and top of the line Crystalline tint on 5 windows for $2k. That was a check price. Credit card a little higher. I'm having him do the spoiler too for $80.

Not having the A pillar done. Maybe that's a mistake.

Had my detailer MK Auto Detail http://www.mkdetail.com/ go over the car beforehand. I mentioned "paint correction" and he smiled and said it's a way to get more money from people, and that the car is done right or it's not. He's the best I've ever worked with and he's in the same complex as Xact Window Tinting.
