Can anyone provide some ball park numbers for the cost of getting your car tinted (and brand of tint used)?

I'm getting a wide range of estimates. From $400 for your normal tint job, to $1500 for FormulaOne (?!).

Also, any shop recommendations would be appreciated.

Thanks!

3M Crystalline which is supposedly one of the highest end films that you can get will cost about $650.

Regular 3M will go for about $275.

I went with regular SunTec which cost me $250 which is equal to regular 3M.

Where are you located?

I had mine done in New Rochelle, NY just right over the GW Bridge at Infinite Tint.

Those prices seem right in line with what I am seeing in the NW. Anywhere from $280 on up to $600 depending on the film.

I went with the Xpel Prime XR 35 and talked the installer into doing it for $575 they Quoted $600. There are going to loose more than the $25 I talked them down because they have to redo 2 windows.

Probably only 45 minutes from Jersey City.

They tint all the way to the top. Most shops leave a few millimeters which I don't like.

What % are you thinking of doing?

Here are photos that better represent the lightness of the tint.

Thanks

I moved from Ohio to NJ. From what i got from the internet, we should not have any window tint for the driver side window or the front passenger side for NJ. So i removed the ceramic tint I had.
Was it a mistake? Is tint allowed for the front windows too?

Correct - tint is not allowed on the two front windows but I never had an issue on my Saab.

I think it also depends on how dark you go.

50% no one will ever bother you but if you go dark like 35% or darker you might have an issue.

How dark were your windows?

Thanks
