Hi All. Was out in the rain last week while driving my Giulia and dropped something that went under my seat. My carpet directly under the drivers seat was pretty wet. I did not spill anything either.

Anybody have this issue. I have the full Tux floor mats and I did not want to pry them out to check the full floor under my feet, but from sliding my hand under as far as I could go, that was dry. It was just directly under the seat. Passenger side was dry.....

Gave a call over to the my dealer and have not received a call back as yet.

Will check all again next heavy rain in more detail, as I really had no time when this originally happened.

No. I've never experienced any water leaking into the cabin. We've driven in some horrindece mid-west downpours without any known leakage or dampness.

Is the only place wet, under the one seat? There is an AC vent under each front seat that could be the source. Of course a window could have been down just a crack, or water may have come in as you entered/exited, and then there's some water from your shoes and things.

Hello jjt440,

Have you received a call from the dealer? Let us know if you'd like us to help close the gap in communication.

So what was the culprit? Because this morning when I first set off for a drive my wife sitting in the passenger seat notified me that a stream of water was dripping onto her feet. The carpets were wet but not saturated. We did have heavy wintry mix yesterday with freezing temps overnight and I did park the car in the driveway nose first instead of backing in as I normally do. Our driveway also has a slight incline.

Run a search on the forum. I recall someone had the exact same problem. I can't remember what the solution was. In any case your dealer will resolve but you might be able to what happened in that case. Maybe it was the sunroof but all I remember was the description was very similar to yours. I will see if I can find it.

a comment: I have a qv and got caught out in the rain once. it was a very heavy rain and I remember just opening my door, just how soaked it got inside. no rain gutter or water diversion mechanism...just got soaked! seems like a bit of a design issue...so I have two micro fiber towels in the center console to wipe down and dry the surfaces of the water.

has anyone else noticed how much water the giulia takes on during a hard driving rain?

You have more faith in your dealer than I have in mine. Not looking forward to an extended service visit while they try to figure out the source of an intermittent leak. It takes 2-3 months just to get an appointment with a loaner car. I have searched the forums for similar leak stories but have had no success in finding them so far.

Hi freedomgli,

We are sorry to hear that you've previously had a negative experience with your dealer. If you are in need of additional assistance while your Giulia is in service for the leak, please send us a private message.
