I got my car washed yesterday and after I noticed that water was on the floor of the front passenger side. The water was dripping from under glovebox where the little floor light is. Any ideas where the water would be coming in from?

When I picked mine up new..... I had the same wet passenger floor problem.. Dealer kept the car for two days, dried it out, claimed to have checked for leaks and we chocked it up to the car window had been left open while it was stored in the open lot or...it was done when the detail folks washed it......I have both run it through a couple of touches car washes and washed it by hand since w/o any issues since...

Somewhere in this forum there was reference to a leak in one of the taillights or truck lid seal..and another referring to a leaky sun roof.. Best of luck with yours.

Very rarely a windshield, and if so there’s usually a wind noise also. I’d guess if it’s a sunroof car that one of the drains isn’t connected. You could confirm this yourself if you want, just open the sunroof, find the drain on the pass side, use a bottle of water and pour it slowly down the drain, if it drips on the ground it’s likely fine, but on the floor means it’s probably a drain tube that’s not installed properly.

But did it drain out under the car? If not it’s going in the car.
What’s your location? Here in Canada we see drains freeze at the bottom but the sun melts the water on the roof and it has nowhere to go...so it gets inside.

I don't know if this will help, but I once took a '98 Mercedes C-280 to an automatic car wash and water literally gushed out of the air vents in the cabin. I had to disassemble it all and dry out the fan box, not to mention my carpets and insulation.

Basically, they hosed the vents so much it overwhelmed the drain. The drain wasn't blocked, it just wasn't designed for that kind of volume. This was the last time I used an automatic car wash.

That's kind of surprising, because cars are designed to go through carwashes and certainly tested in them.

The goods news is that I am going to the dealer Thursday so I can have them at least take a look at that and the constant vibrating noise in the passenger side front door.

I was definitely surprised! I was sitting in the car at the time.
I remember a lapful of warm water courtesy of my SAAB 900's pop-top sunroof. Time for dry pants and a new gasket. Here's to our Giulias never experiencing similar.

I am glad to hear that. We would like to make sure this is documented further and get you in contact with the proper teams while you are working with your dealer on this. We will just need some additional information to get that started. Please private message us with your VIN, phone number, current mileage and servicing dealer.

So what was the culprit? Because this morning when I first set off for a drive my wife sitting in the passenger seat notified me that a stream of water was dripping onto her feet. The carpets were wet but not saturated. We did have heavy wintry mix yesterday with freezing temps overnight and I did park the car in the driveway nose first instead of backing in as I normally do. Our driveway also has a slight incline.
