Based on Alfa Romeo’s rear-drive ‘Giorgio’ architecture and powered by a Ferrari derived power plant, the Giulia Quadrifoglio has been stunning enthusiasts since its launch last year.

First it set a new record for the fastest sedan to lap the Nürburgring with a time of 7 minutes and 38 seconds. That title was later snatched by the 2017 Porsche Panamera Turbo, but Alfa Romeo managed to retake the title with Fabio Francia behind the wheel of an eight-speed automatic-equipped Giulia QV.

Now Motorsport Magazine has performed a sprint test, rocketing it from a standstill to 250 km/h (155 mph).

According to Alfa Romeo, the Giulia Quadrifoglio can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.9 seconds with a top speed of 305 km/h (190 mph). All this is made possible thanks to the 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 engine sitting under its bonnet, cranking out 505 horsepower and 443 lb-ft of torque.

Performance comes at a cost and the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio has a starting price of €79,000 in Italy or around $72,000 in the Unites States.

Unfortunately, Motorsport Magazine has not released the exact acceleration time of their sprint test so we’ll just have to count the seconds ourselves.
