USING THE RIGHT PADDLE SHIFTER TO PUT THE CAR IN DRIVE

I have read somewhere, that on some of the European models,
equipped with the ZF HP 50 automatic transmission...
The car can be put into Drive mode, by placing your foot on the
brake, and pulling the + (right side) paddle shifter.
I would love that!

Is that a possibility? (Of course with enough parts and time it is.)
Can this feature be added to our FCANA cars?

I see you can add Auto High Beams and Auto-Cruise-Control by
manipulating the software.
Is being able to select Drive by pulling on the + (right hand) paddle-
shifter also possible by manipulating the software?

I don't think anyone has cracked that one yet.

@Richo8657 , can you post link to the information on how to
add Auto High Beams and Auto-Cruise-Control by
manipulating the software. Thanks.

The thread is under... "Adding ACC after purchase."
Just type that into the search.
Jason, from Alfisimmo,
wrote a nice step by step on the second page of the thread.

I’d love to figure this one out. Would make for semi-useful launch control too. It could even be the best way to show off revs :)

I had assumed it was some unique regulation in NAFTA. But... the new C8s go into neutral when you pull both paddles. As do Ferrari’s.

Isn't there some way to get that??? My sunroof won't open unless the ENGINE IS RUNNING!!!!! SO UNHELPFUL!!!

anyway, back to the paddles. Driving it in manual mode is so artificial without an option to slide in and out of neutral like you do with a true manual. Can't we all beg the folks at multiecuscan to work on it?? Or can't a couple of our IT geniuses on the site solve it? I feel like "programmer" is the number one profession admitted to here...

Maybe it's just me, but I never really shifted that much into neutral when I drove manual. I would use the gears to slow me down and maybe if I was at a light I would put it in neutral to give my foot a break. I have a mate who uses neutral constantly though - from slowing down to coasting, I think that lad is in neutral more than actually being in a gear:ROFLMAO:

@LoCoRob, perhaps, but usually it's just different grass.

Oh I’ve been looking for this option! Gotta get multiecu! I’m starting to realize this is the Alfa equivalent of forscan? Any chance a left pull from neutral puts her in reverse?
