Trying to buy an extended warranty

I have a 2018 QV (that I love) and my warranty runs out on July. I'm trying to buy an extended warranty through my local Alfa dealership in northern Virginia but I can't for the life of me get someone on the phone. Does anyone know if it matters what dealer I buy the extended warranty through? And would anyone have recommendations for better or different extended warranties out there? Thank you!

Thank you all so much for the advice! I went will Garrett from Robbins Motors ([email protected]), he was the man - super quick response and I am fully covered now. Really recommend him. Still can't figure out why my local dealership wouldn't return my call on this!

I purchased a high-end MOPAR MaxCare warranty plan just prior to the factory warranty expiring on my 2019 Giulia Ti. I've had only one claim and it was covered, eventually. Here's something to keep in mind. My selling dealer dropped its Alfa franchise after I bought the car. I went back to them (a Dodge-Chrysler-Jeep-Ram store) for the required service. But the claim was rejected when the service advisor entered it through the MOPAR service network. Naturally I wasn't pleased, so I called MOPAR Vehicle Protection (MVP) directly and was told "yes" the service should be covered, but that the dealership had to call MVP rather than submitting the claim online. Since my dealer no longer sold Alfas, it's dealer code was rejected for authorized Alfa service when the work order was submitted. Lesson learned: keep digging when it comes to a claim... and Alfa's fractured dealer network!

I dont' have a good answer -- I'm also thinking about an extended warranty -- but your comment "my local Alfa dealership in northern Virginia" rings true. I believe I have dealt with that same dealership and they are a mess. They don't answer the phone, you can leave phone messages all day and no one returns a call. I work with the dealership in Germantown MD and while they aren't perfect, at least they answer the phone.

PS "work with" means "go to them for service". I don't work there. Just a customer.
