On my 2018 QV, I feel that the spacing between the wheel and the paddles is pretty tight. My fingers barely fit between when steering and I don't have large fingers. Is that typical or could a previous owner bent them close together or is there an adjustment.

They will bend forward. I just gently push it back

Just go easy. It’s not gonna move far but maybe 1/4”. Usually is deference on mine from being too tight to just right. If it snaps just buy the carbon or Italian flag ones from @Alfissimo

no adjustment on them. seen them couple times bend with knee or similar.
just checked - gap between paddle and steering wheel is 3 cm

I sat in a dealer's demo, and the paddles did seem closer than mine. It's just a switch, and a shift only requires a one-finger flick to change gears. I think some people really yank on them.

To add another data point, I've never felt a lack of space on mine. I can fit my fingers between and still pull on the paddles to shift
