Have a look at the offering from @John4C . Not Tecnicos, but on paper, better and for 1/3 the price.
Have a look at the offering from @John4C . Not Tecnicos, but on paper, better and for 1/3 the price.Hey all,
Just bought a QV, my perfect spec would have had the Tecnicos but I compromised as I saw that the 5 hole were an upgrade. Thought to myself 'oh well, should be an easy switch then', before I found out that the Tecnicos are forged, lighter and far dearer!
Has anyone successfully got hold of a set in the UK for less than both arms and both legs? If so, can you share your secret please?
Apologies if this is old territory for the group. I searched the forum but couldn't find much relevant to the UK.
Cheers!
Thanks, checking the thread now and it looks extremely interesting!Have a look at the offering from @John4C . Not Tecnicos, but on paper, better and for 1/3 the price.
They look fantastic...My Tekkla wheels from John — I ran into a similar issue when I first got my Quad — as lockem mentions, much better and a lot cheaper.
What colour are yours? Saw a pic on the group-buy thread. Sadly the colour of your car is about as far as it's possible to be from mine, hard to know how they'd look on a grey one!My Tekkla wheels from John — I ran into a similar issue when I first got my Quad — as lockem mentions, much better and a lot cheaper.

Woof!
Do you want to go dark or lighter? If it's Vesuvio or Stromboli, the hyper black Tekklas would look really nice--plenty of brighter options too. Really sky is the limit. A friend of mine got a white finish on his 4C (custom painted in a Lambo purple). What colour are yours? Saw a pic on the group-buy thread. Center caps are removable. Some have removed them and modified the OEM caps to fit the wheels. Are the center caps machined as well? Like is it one piece with the wheel?
Great color choice!Center caps are removable. Some have removed them and modified the OEM caps to fit the wheels.
I actually just had my wheels powder coated hyper black gloss with fleck. Everyone loved the brushed finish—they looked great, just not 100% the look I was going for. I missed the gloss from the OEMs.
Same wheels as above, new finish—just arrived back to my dealer today. I haven’t seen them in person yet; but the photos look really good to me.

Whole set. I think I paid $1500 + shipping.Am I confused? The price looks to be almost exactly what Tecnicos cost ? OR is that price on their site for whole set and not per wheel ?
Price on the site is for a complete set but doesn’t include shipping. The estimated complete pricing is in the GB thread. Here:Am I confused? The price looks to be almost exactly what Tecnicos cost ? OR is that price on their site for whole set and not per wheel ?
