Has anyone noticed an issue with the driver side mirror vibrating a good amount at highway speeds while the passenger side appears to be solidly in place? I'm not sure if its only the glass or the whole encasing. I brought it up to the dealer and the first time they said they tightened the glass, but it didn't appear to help. The next time, they said this was normal for the car. The only reason I didn't fight this was because while I had a '19 Stelvio loaner I noticed the same issue. Wanted to see if anyone else has noticed this issue.

FWIW, I have not seen any vibration in either mirror on either of my Giulia's. Wondering if you have a left tire slightly out of balance causing it.

Appreciate the responses. Seems to be a mixed crowd on this one. I'll have to compare again the next time I have a loaner. I recently had my wheels straightened, balanced, and aligned so I don't believe that is my issue. I thought maybe my exhaust had contributed as my rear view mirror inside shakes like crazy on cold starts but settles down once it warms up. These responses at least makes me think this isn't normal so I'll have to play around with it a little more.

Hi Nik,

We understand why this may be concerning. We suggest having your dealer inspect this concern if you have not done so already. We are also available via private message if you would like any additional assistance during that process.

Any chance that one of the retaining clips is broken? A forum member who noticed a rattle in his wing mirror found that one of the metal retaining clips was loose (thus, the rattle) because the plastic piece that it clips to had broken. He did not report any indication that the mirror appeared to be loose.

I have not noticed any vibration of my mirrors.

There is a small metalic piece installed behind the mirror that acts as a dumper for vibrations. One day I saw the piece coming out from the mirror case when I was driving and was able to catch before it fell down. I went to the dealer and they put it back, explaining the reason of its existance.

Maybe you lost this piece. Go to the dealer!

I just drove 100 miles... highway, county, city, back roads, you name it... None of my mirrors vibrated, I was surprised at how stable they were, actually.

I haven't noticed this with any of my mirrors, neither at speed nor at startup

I had one of the spring clips on my driver's side mirror break off (as someone else mentioned above); in my case the mirror didn't shake while driving, but the second clip was still in place. I only noticed because the clip was stuck in the mirror housing, rattling. The thread is "Disassembling side view mirrors?" but basically to check this, you'd need to pry the mirror out (which is simple but terrifying, unless I was doing it wrong) and see if the big metal spring clips are still attached. It looks like there should be two: one on the top and one on the left side.

If one or both are broken off, I can definitely see how the mirror might shake while the car is driving. The retaining mechanism for the mirror is reasonably tight but there's definitely a small amount of play.

Yeah, mine does, noticed from day 1. It's not bad, just a bit annoying. I haven't mentioned it to the dealer, mainly because I've been experiencing more pressing issues! I've also had to replace the passenger side front tire, work completed at an Alfa dealership, front end feels very stable. Still consistently seeing the vibration in the glass portion of the driver's side mirror.

There are spring clips that can break off too easily and probably helps with stabilization.

I have this issue and my dealer twice was "unable to duplicate" just like every issue I have with this car and once again I am looking to fix it on my own. Anyone got any DIY tips to fix this issue?

I know this is an old thread but I just noticed my driver side mirror also vibrates at freeway speeds enough to make it look blurry. Of course it is right after my OEM warranty expired. I'll either try to fix it myself or wait until I have a few things to include in my extended warranty so I only have to pay one deductible.
