Hi all -

I've owned my Giulia for a few weeks and finally got down to hardwiring my radar detector since I hate having the cable hanging down the middle of my cockpit. I followed the DIY tutorial on this forum, and disconnected the plug behind the mirror, tapping into the blue/red and black cables for the detector power. After turning the car on, the detector did not power up and I got the flashing odometer/service lights for the systems I've mentioned in the title.

My cables finally showed up and I ran a PROXI alignment in Multiecuscan hoping to fix the issue. It fixed the flashing odometer, but I still do not have working BSM/auto lights/rain sensing wipers/parking sensors. I've attached a few photos below of my hardwire setup. Multiecuscan can not connect to the parking sensor ECU but seemed to connect to the blind spot monitor one fine. I'm wondering if there's any relay or fuse that controls this group in the mirror, or something else I missed? I got codes in the Multiecuscan blind spot monitor module computer "B0110-15 Short to +V or open circuit" and "P068A-68 Event Information, Intermittent". I haven't checked any of the pins of the connectors with a multimeter but would be shocked if any of the connectors just stopped working/carrying current. I appreciate any help.

Side note, how can I use multiecuscan to clear my "oil level exceeded" light? I'm pretty sure it's just a sensor malfunction, not a true over level light, but wish the car had an actual dipstick...

bump. anyone ever deal with anything similar?
Haven't run into this, but I see from the picture you're tapped into the wrong harness. You want to use the lowest harness down by your radar detector. The harness that feeds into the mirror.

Removing the tap from the sensor harness where it is now might fix the signal issues and clear up the errors. If the errors don't go away it might've caused some damage from current draw or grounding something that shouldn't be grounded.

On the oil level exceeded question, there is a good thread about it here:

Probably one of these things:
1) There is too much oil in the car
2) Quirk that will correct itself
3) Sensor is bad

Those are not the wires you want to tap into. Those are the wires to the light and rain sensor.
Coming to learn this now. Wonder if the sensor is fried or something like that now. Following the guides I saw online, it looked like that's where people were tapping into but obviously not.

Resolved : went to the dealer, and they said they found blown fuses for the blind spot monitors and auto lights/wipers. They replaced them and did a PROXI alignment. Sunroof was related to a bad battery sensor which they also replaced. I have now hardwired the radar detector and it all works properly
