So roughly three weeks a go, I remote started my QV only to get in an be greeted by the Electronic Throttle Control System warning light. I then drove to the gas station to put air in a tire, and the car was now displaying the Check Engine light, followed by the "service Engine" message.

So took the car to the dealer who stated two days later that there were "misfire" codes, and that they were investigating. Supposedly, there was an update needed and applied, but it is not in the paperwork. After three weeks here is what was found/replaced:

3 Fuel Injectors
6 Fuel Injector Seals
2 Spark Plugs
1 Fuel Injector Tube
1 Manifold Gasket
1 Fuel Vapor Valve

This doesn't sound good to me. Is it the car or is the dealer?

Although it is possible that one failure can cause a cascade of other failures, this sounds more like the shop just tried things until something worked.

Maybe

All fuel injectors removed to find the bad ones. Spark plugs fouled by the bad fuel injectors. Fuel injector tube and fuel vapor valve damaged by bad wrenching. Other parts needed as normal R&R of these parts.

this is pretty much a partial list of what i went through with my 2008 BMW 335xi during the first first year of ownership.

How old is your car and how many miles are on it? Seems like fuel system issues are somewhat common on the year 1 cars with other owners reporting similar problems. Hopefully the fix will be a permanent one and there will be many miles of glitch free motoring ahead!

My car was exactly 1 month old with a build date of Jun 2017 and 4K miles.

Since getting her back I have not remote started the car and disable Auto Stop/Start every time. So far, so good!

I got the "Electronic Throttle Control" warning, limp mode, resulting in "Check engine" light on the track on a hot lap on my QV (Laguna Seca). Took it to the dealer in Monterey and they reset the code. It hasn't come back (yet), but I'm hoping there is some root cause they can find and fix. Car has 1400 miles.

mine did this today. 100 miles and less than a month into ownership. not happy

my light magically went away after 2 days. Never noticed any drivability issues while it was on aside from not being able to switch drive modes or suspension settings. Took to the dealership this past Monday and they showed a misfire code that cleared itself.

Dealer (SF) says the car is fully up to date and they cannot give a reason for the fault code. They tried to reproduce and could not. Worries me that it's going to come back at some point, especially at a track day.

Mine is at the shop right now for a similar issue as the original poster. The OBD codes were:

DTC03:U0001
DTC03:U0101
DTC07:U0002

Hope they figure out a fix soon. This Ti Lusso Giulia loaner I received does not provide nearly the driving excitement of the QV.

So today, the ETCSL & CEL were back along with the service engine message, and the CEL was blinking this time. All this was followed by the "Stop&Start Restart Req'd. Fault Detected" message.
I tried the open/close hood, but that did not clear the warning lights. Will pull codes tomorrow, and dealer visit on Monday.

Did you buy your QV used? If so makes me wonder if it had issues before you owned it.
No, this was purchased new at a Maserati-Alfa Romeo Dealership in Bakersfield.
This is the second time the misfire codes have occured. The vehicle was at the dealer for a month, and now five weeks later we are back to the same issues.

Misfire codes are tough to diagnose if the symptoms do not occur during live scanning.

If they give the car back to you, my advice would be to not run it below a half a tank of gas for a few fill-ups and see if the issue reappears. These cars have a saddle tanks and fuel is pushed from one tank to the other. Although the main tank may say there is plenty of fuel, a flow restriction in the system could be a lingering culprit weather it be a intermittent fuel pump issues or other.

I normally refuel the car at half a tank. When these faults occurred, the fuel tank was between 1/4 & 1/2. The dealer did mention that they have noticed a pattern with other Giulias, likely the L4s.

Don't know if this helps, but my check engine lights seem to have gotten better after my battery was replaced by the dealer. Haven't had anything else come up in the last three weeks (knock on carbon fiber).
