It doesn't have to do with an extended warranty, but don't they base the price of a warranty on your mileage or something? This is the first time my insurance company has asked me to fill out a form--they don't require verification just my affirmation of the mileage. Previously I just did it over the phone. When I asked why they're doing this he said it's a new policy because there are a lot of people claiming much lower mileage than they actually do. Luckily I checked with them because 10 days ago I filled out a form from an email link they sent, but apparently it's not in their system, so he sent me a PDF with another form where I have to fill in more information manually, and I pasted in a copy of my signature. He's also sent me a paper copy, which I will send also probably--it's a pain in the neck.
Probably due to work from home changing now. My QV has only done 21,000 miles in 4 years. I just don't drive like I used to and I work from home or it sits at the airport. Selling software rules!! LOL. No need to leave my basement...not my mother's anymore!!

Just got a quote from local dealer in Eastern Europe:
Accessory belt change (part + labor): $180. They quote 2.1 hours job for $60/hour
Oil change (oil and filter included): $346

Third world living is not that bad, I guess :D

Speaking of... How is the Tysons Corner dealership? Is this your go to in the DC area?
IDK the labor rate, but I feel good about taking the car there -
you can search for my QV issue recently, but here is my testimonial to Safford Alfa Romeo of Tysons Corner:

OK - a happy day! I picked up my QV from the dealership today. Turns out the Body Control Module was acting up, and most likely was the reason for the power drain on the battery system, unclear how it killed the fuel pump, but c'est la vie. my tech really went above and beyond. I'll be back again next month for routine oil and brake fluid services.
Forum members, let me say, lots are quick to flame Alfa dealers and Alfa service in general, maybe some earned it. However - I want to heap on some well deserved praise to Alfa Romeo of Tyson's Corner. They handled what was a bad situation and made it better. Especially after I went to pick it up last week and it wouldn't shut off in their parking lot. Yes, it was under warranty, and yes I'm sure it cost Alfa thousands (!!) of dollars, but I slept great a night knowing they took special care of her, even leaving her inside during two days of rain we got. Shout out to Nelson and Terrell, if you guys see this, big kudos to you both! (y) 🍀🍀(y)

I'd be very very afwaid of a $180.00 belt change on a QV. Said Elmer Fudd.

180 dollar job? Isn't the belt like half that?

Guarantee they don't what they are quoting. They will be down one mechanic for an entire day.

I would drive there for a day or two to save 2 grand.

My dealer did a good job but I don't think they have done many of these based on what the SA alluded to. I am guessing a US dealer might sell less than 10 of the Giulia and Stelvio per year combined.

They might be able to change a 2.0 belt in 2.1 hours. Sounds like what unscrupulous shops used to call the "suntan service." Move the car around the lot, let it sit in the sun til closing, then bill the customer for the service they requested.

it is the dealership I go to. They have been good to me. Knowledgeable. Old dude in there is really nice, car guy not just a mechanic. My screen was cracking like others have had and they were on backorder. They did find one left they themselves had and put it right in and I was out early. Price idk bc I have only had warranty work as I have the 84 mos, 84k(?) miles. I have heard some people not satisfied with the place and have heard Gaithersburg, MD is the place to go for “real” work.
